I didn't say it was an excuse for a loss. I said it'll mean more when we win.
I guess. You bring up the extreme example of the Niners, but nearly every team is dealing with at minimum the level of injuries the Cards are dealing with at this point.
Winning will show this team is a team headed in the right direction.
I don't see this either - winning this will show again that they're capable of beating the dregs of the league, something we're all aware of anyway.

Unfortunately we've lost to every playoff level team we've played. Beat the Rams next week, and that will mean something.

Eh I mean did beat both of the LA teams(& have a chance to sweep the LA team in our division for the first time since…..2014? Damn.)
C'mon...you're not seriously going to say the Rams team we're facing next week is what we saw earlier in the year.

Chris…

Please read my initial post one more time. Or a couple more times.

I just said “we have a chance”. Am I not allowed to say that?

Nowhere did I compare & contrast this Rams’ team from earlier to this current one.

Reading comprehension seems to be a huge problem with some posters here. I do/did not expect you to be one of them.

To be fair if we beat the Rams next week they won’t be a playoff team. If they beat us, they will be. Can only confirm the thesis.
This is true.

Still stands for the Chargers unless they have a catastrophic meltdown, lol.

I think the accurate thing to say is that we haven't beaten a team with a winning record? No. It looks like the Chargers were 3-2.

My operating theory right now is that Gannon is probably a third-tier head coach -- will beat bad teams, go .500 or so against mediocre teams, and get boatraced by superior talent. Maybe I'll put together an NFL coaching tiers list before Black Monday.

Are you still standing by your belief that Monti did the right thing in stripping down the roster? It sure seems like Denver, Minneapolis, the Chargers, and the Commies were able to bounce back pretty effectively.

Bounce back? How many years did it take the Commanders & Broncos to “bounce back”?

The commies were 8-8 two years ago. The Broncs hadn’t exactly stockpiled talent before Payton arrived.
Commies made the playoffs two years ago?

Wonder why does one trade for Russell Wilson if that’s the case. Surely it couldn’t have been they thought they were just a QB away/had enough talent.

But I never see them just sitting and pouting or throwing up their arms like kylers signature moves. That’s not leadership man. It’s anti-leadership. And that’s what we are talking about. It’s not the lack of “rah rah,” it’s the negativity. It’s a kyler trait unfortunately. I can’t recall any QB we’ve ever had that has that sour countenance.
Oh sure ya can...and he took this poo seriously too

Key for the last 3 games is can Kyler physically overwhelm a team.

Injuries or not he should physically overwhelm the Panthers.

Can he make those great escape plays vs the Rams again.

Can he take one to the house vs the 49ers (or just a run game)

This isnt the Lions, Bills, Eagles, etc etc.

Its time to see if he can physically beat teams late at the end of the season. 2020 he broke down against the Rams/49ers. 2021 was a blunder obvs. Time to fix that.
