No they haven’t. That’s your personal wishful thinking.

Well, actually they have as much as us to be truthful or anyone else... they did work them out and Gruden since Kingsbury has become a pro coach has been more goggly eye about him than anyone else in his comments, who knows who reeeeeaally wants him but we will find out

And you are still paying Josh Rosen’s bonus. And ate Bradford, Wilks and Mccoy’s Salary.

So - those are all sunk costs, you can’t go back in time. That kind of thinking leads to failure.

Successful investors and owners are honest about value, they don’t hold on to something because they have invested a bunch of money in it previously.

Hot take: The Raiders don’t take Murray at #4 if he’s still there.

That would be quite the hot take. Multiple insiders say Gruden loves him. That is why he spent all that time with him.

Gruden eats, sleeps and drinks football. He’s not taking a franchise QB that he’s not 100% sure is committed IMO.

Also Gruden loves chatting and talking up everyone so I’m not buying he’s “in love” with the idea of Murray.

Again this is an admitted #hottake

It doesn't make sense to me regarding the whole drama behind Murray. Why would it represent dysfunction if you have to live in the moment as a football team. At the moment(last year) they got a QB they liked and wanted to develop. They could now believe that they have stumbled upon a better one..especially for the new offensive scheme.

I agree 100%

I'm in my car quite a bit every day & listen to the NFL channel quite a bit. At least leading up to the draft or when the Cardinals are playing well. Otherwise, it bores me. Anyways, I do always seem to catch "Moving the Chains". Pretty sure it's with Kirwin & Miller. So a few weeks back, they couldn't quite understand why the Cardinals would give up on Rosen after just one year. I've made it clear that I'm a Murray guy, but also don't question that Rosen was placed in a very difficult situation last year. I'm pro drafting Murray because IMO he's better than Rosen & anytime you can improve yourself at that position, you do it.

Anyways, these guys recently seem to have soured all of a sudden on Rosen. They claim that most teams that they have talked to don't even have him rated ahead of the top 4 QB's in THIS years draft. For the record, I completely disagree with that. But anyways, they don't question his arm, or his ability to be an NFL QB. They seem to be pretty ambiguous about the subject. They've hinted at attitude/leadership, but haven't been real clear either. Remember, this is not their personal opinion. This is feedback from teams that they have talked too. It seems like some teams they've talked to don't even see him as a starter. They don't envision the Cardinals getting anything better than a 2nd rounder for him. Has anyone else heard this?? It's only been maybe late last week or early this week that I've heard it.

If we trade Josh, I desperately hope we get more than 2nd for him.

If we can get any pick from #15 or above, then it will almost feel like we broke even on last year's draft.

I know we gave up a 3rd and a 5th too, but still. The value of, say, the 13th pick is what, 80% of all three picks we used last year on JR? That's a good enough salvage job in a difficult situation.

How is Murray better? He hasn't played a single down in the NFL?

College success does not equate NFL success.

Did I not preface my comment with an IMO?? No one can be sure of how Murray will do, but when a kid has been great in every game he’s ever played, then he passes the eye test for me. Conversely, I’ve seen Rosen play poorly at times at UCLA & play poorly about 90% of the time with the Cardinals. Granted, under difficult circumstances. But, did he have a hand in making those circumstances difficult. IMO, I would say yes.

My choices...

#1 - Keep Rosen and draft Bosa or Q

#2 - Only if we are 100% drafting Murray. Draft Bosa or Q #1, then draft Murray with the 1st rd pick we get for Rosen.

#3 - Worst case scenario - Draft Murray #1 and get a top 17 pick for Rosen.

Anything less for Rosen...our front office is a freakin joke.

I would be ecstatic if your option #2 were available. I highly doubt it & wouldn’t risk losing out on Murray in the process. We wanted Mahomes, but took the risk of not moving up to get him. The Chiefs stole him from us.

How does the fact that he played a down in the NFL infer that he IS better?

I'm sure that you wouldn't put Mike Glennon in that conversation would you? Ryan Lindley?

There is always a moment when you have to project talent. And I think that at the very least, IT IS debatable that..... College success (especially when his individual success was this extreme) does project to NFL success.

He'll still be there at #24 for Gruden.
I think this is extreme, but I do think Murray slides down the board if we don't take him. Probably still somewhere in the top 10, but I imagine it's not the Raiders or Giants.

I just don't see us getting more than a 2nd for him. All of the Anti-Josh people have made some cogent points that NFL teams will analyze.

I think we've had this argument before, but the Chiefs simply offered up more than we could reasonably give for a couple of spots. It's my firm belief the Cardinals had either Watson or Mahomes dialed in as the pick and simply couldn't justify giving up next year's 1 as they were on the phones.

Sadly, a 1 is what it would have taken, and this board, the fans, and the media would have had a meltdown.

It’s idiotic to ask the players about Rosen. What are they to say?? If the Cardinals do draft Murray, these same players will run to the podium & sing their praises & how excited they are to have Murray on their team. That’s just the way it is.

If they are on the team possibly. Or they could just basically say it’s a business and whatever route the team takes is fine with them. But they didnt.

Markus Golden has no forum or need to praise josh being on another roster now and he posted out what a great teammate and person he is as. A member of a different organization. Why is that?

A couple of them did say it was a business. I would hope he was a great teammate & person, but was he a good QB? IMO, he didn't show enough for me to not consider a better option with the #1 pick in your lap. Why would Golden say anything negative?? Why would anyone say something negative? Say the right thing, be respectful, and let the FO do what they're paid to do.
