This is just excellent gamesmanship by Keim in my opinion.

By bringing Murray here you while the team is here and while Rosen is here lays it out that we are willing to take Murray and keep Rosen.

So either trade up for Murray because he isn't falling or offer a first for Rosen because we aren't giving him away.

Only if the ends justify the means because this is agonizing and reinforcing the notion that Keim has no idea what he’s doing as GM. If Keim hoodwinks a team for multiple picks, then he’s a wizard. If he takes Q or Bosa, then fine. Any other outcome and Keim comes out looking like a moron.

If the Redskins are trading their first I would think AZ is sending a 3rd or something. Washington doesn’t have to overpay in their minds because their 1st is more valuable than SD/NE. I don’t believe the Giants are THAT interested either. You’d like the Skins to believe they’re interested but i don’t see it going down like that.

I get your point and I want them to keep Rosen and draft Bosa or Q but...

If they believe Murray is the next Russell Wilson (or better) and they can get a mid first round pick for Rosen...I would be fine with that.

The results are what matter most and we won't know that for a few years.

I mostly agree with this, but even as a vehement pro-Rosen guy, I can understand how this is a little bit of a unique confluence of events, where last year the choice of Rosen was a no-brainer, and we couldn't have particularly anticipated that Wilks would fail so spectacularly, leading to another coach.

And especially then, could not have anticipated that said coach's much focused on QB would become available to actually play the sport, when that wasn't a thought a year ago.

I still don't want Murray, but how we got here isn't totally an effect of ineptitude.

My thing is if Murray and Klingsbury fail we be exactly in the same position next year only problem is that Murray apparently isnt a QB that adapts to any other position easily or at all the offense HAS to be tailored to him so what if KK has the same outcome as Wilks did THEN WHAT, KK has already said Rosen can run HIS offense so why not Let Him

It doesn't make sense to me regarding the whole drama behind Murray. Why would it represent dysfunction if you have to live in the moment as a football team. At the moment(last year) they got a QB they liked and wanted to develop. They could now believe that they have stumbled upon a better one..especially for the new offensive scheme.
