I'm hoping it causes Jackson to wake up. It was when Booker missed some games last year that things finally started clicking for him. It would be nice if we had JJ and Ayton with a lot of confidence in their games when Booker returns.
Gosh I think it would beyond atrocious if Josh Jackson starts over Bridges if Booker has to miss time.

Jackson hasn't earned anything this season while Bridges has looked solid everytime he's gotten minutes. Kokoskov needs to practice what he preaches and let guys who earn playing time actually play.

Almost all of which was when they were down 20+.
This is a trend I'm noticing in all our blowout losses. I don't understand why Ayton has such a hard time playing with more physicality earlier in the game instead of waiting till it gets out of ugly.

I think Igor has made a big mistake of trying to preach defense and make the Suns a defensive team first since he's been working with them. That at least seems to be his plan based on what he said. I'm not saying he shouldn't teach defense but with young players he's trying to win over and help turn into a winning roster he should install his offense and worry about defense later. Of course he can get on guys for bad plays defensively but the Suns won't win because of defense and they can't even keep the game competitive because they fall behind a lot because things aren't clicking offensively and players get discouraged and don't focus on defense like they should. Install a good offense that can run and score. Once he has that in place and we're losing by much smaller margin is when he should install the defense, explaining how that will get the stops needed so we're outscoring our opponents instead of coming up short. It's a lot harder to preach defense when your team is down 25 though. Good defense won't close that deficit, good offense and defense will. When players are scoring and happy they're talking more and helping each other defensively more. We saw that in the Dallas game but haven't seen it since.

Maybe Bridges starting for Booker will help that. I think by the time Devin returns though it will be time to adjust the starters around him. Whether that is starting Warren at PF, or Warren and Ariza as the forwards, or sitting both Anderson and Ariza for Warren and Jackson or Bridges. Neither has provided close to what they're getting paid for. At least we don't need to worry about Anderson playing well and the Suns not waiving him at seasons end to keep his monster of a cap number on our books.

I don't think JJ should start ahead of Bridges, I'm just hoping the increase in playing time and being able to get more shots will help him. If he can steal the job from Bridges, great, but I'm hoping we start to see who he was last year with Booker out. That doesn't mean as a start though, unless it is in place of Anderson. Bender would be better than him.

Saw this on Reddit, it very well could be why Anderson has sucked.;)

So screwed ..period. Server is going to flip
That's one of my favorite things about this forum, the (relatively) new owners of this site have done a great job with the servers ensuring there are very rare, if any, crashes.

I'm hoping a light bulb went off for Ayton in the 2nd half. He was physical and decisive in the post and did a much better job protecting the rim.

Were you making a joke or did you miss that he typo'ed Sarver (I think)?
Spell check does that every time I type Sarver and, of course, I've been typing it a lot. :)

When I was younger, I didn't need spell check, but now ... well, I thought about turning it off but decided to leave it on.

If he gets angry and tired of losing, which I imagine he will at least be tired of losing, he has the skills to take over and help make things much more competitive. With Booker on the floor with him also I think they'll be able to beat damn near anyone if their games are on and they're both driven. Hopefully things come together for him.

I told you it was only a matter of time before Booker got worn out and hurt from having to do too much, but even I didn't think it would happen this quickly.

If Booker is out for any length of time, this team could have trouble winning 10 games this year...

holy crap... the idea that he already got worn out from three freaking games is why you get called a troll.

and for good reason.

I have been as vocal as anyone how atrocious McD was and that we had no PG, but the "Booker is already hirt because he's worn out 3 games into the year" is by far the dumbest comment in the history of this board... which is saying A LOT.

How do you know that? Isn't it logical that spreading him over two positions causes more fatigue than just covering his own position? And that fatigue causes injury?

after THREE games... at the age of 21? NO. That's BEYOND IMBECILE STUPIDITY.

And if he IS that susceptible to injury after three games, you might as well call him Mr. Glass, cut his ass, and call it a day.

Seriously... Booker's injured because he's playing 35 minutes per game... in four games... at the beginning of the season.

This team has PLENTY of warts to have problems with. Playing Booker at the PG spot is definitely one of them from a strategy standpoint, but from health? no. That's freaking idiotic to say after four games. FLAT OUT IDIOTIC.

This is so classless by the Lakers to do this in the last 2 mins of a blowout win

I wish we had someone making issue of this afterwards and maybe giving Lonzo what his teammate Rondo got from CP3 the other day.

Yeah, I really disagree with this. You can win in this league with basically a two man team but it's difficult to do when your other positions are as weak as ours are. Give us an average starting 1 and 4 and an average bench and the combo of Booker and Ayton (matured) would give us a chance against anyone.

It is frustrating but I've always subscribed to the idea that if you don't want to be shown up by your opponent, then stop them. And if you don't or you can't, you train harder so you can show them up someday.

On second thought, it's actually more on Lance Stephenson than it is Lonzo for throwing the lob in the first place. Makes me wish for PJ Tucker for a minute who reacted when Stephenson did something very similar to Tucker's team.

Guess Stephenson never learned. Classless idiot.

Let's hope it's locker room material if nothing else. The team needs to have a long memory for next time we play.

I'm not saying they'll do it now, I'm saying if Ayton had Booker's drive. That will take time because he doesn't seem as committed to the game as guys like Booker or JJ. Perhaps he just doesn't show it like Warren but if he gets there, that's when he and Booker will be able to beat damn near anyone, IMO. They're not there now and probably won't be this season either.

This team is going to click at some point. I believe it. Before the season started, I expected them to go 1-6 out of the gate. I was not expecting all blowouts.

Defense and turnovers. If Booker wants to start winning, he has to start playing defense. It’s on him too.

It was classless but the Suns should have stopped them. The only reason it happened is because they allowed the Lakers to outplay them. Nobody said they should have stopped playing defense at the very end. I can understand not going all out but if you see someone driving the basket, get in front of him.

Funny Tucker looks like the classless one to me.

Meh. You do stuff like this at home games. The crowd loves it.
