The O-line is going to be the most interesting thing to follow this TC.
Potter was a rookie 7th rounder thrown into action prematurely last season and was despite praises on this board not very good. But! It's hard to expect more from a raw 7th rounder. He'll be very interesting to follow, because he no doubt showed potential to develop into a player. But how high is the ceiling for Potter? Honestly, I haven't seen anything at this point to believe he can be a quality starter. That could change with experience and change of scheme.
Brown is not as bad as everyone here think. Brown had the misfortune of playing in KW's scheme that was the most OT unfriendly scheme I have ever seen in the NFL. Tackles were totally isolated on islands with no help. If the QB couldn't get the ball out quickly the tackles were more or less without a chance and were exposed. The D could tee off resulting in the many false starts from the OTs to compensate. Brown's reputation has suffered because of that and is much better than advertised. The pivotal thing will however be how he returns from his injury.
My money is still on Brown for the starting LT, but time will tell. I Potter could have the potential to be a starting LT, but only time will tell.
RT also interesting, but in another way. Less unknown factors with both MAssie and Winston. Massie did show the potential in the 2nd half of the season to be a NFL starter, but has he developed enough to push an established NFL starter as Winston?
I expect the interior line is more or less settled with Cooper, Sendlein and Colledge. Watson could push Colledge as the season evolve, but I doubt he will be starting week 1.
So very interesting scenarios. I only hope/pray that BASK have learned the lesson from RG/KW regime and NOT cut expensive veterans the same day they lose their starting job. If Brown and Colledge are benched, I hope that we keep them for the season as back-ups and then cut them. Paper thin depth at OL has doomed this team for too many seasons.
