But they're on record that next year might be the last season so they have to accelerate the arc.

there was an article (i think in entertainment weekly) where the producers said that they have just passed the mid-point a few episodes back. hopefully they won't have to accelerate too much and that they can have a nice smooth finish to the show. i would really like to see it resolved gracefully.

Wow, this show is really starting to get back to its 1st season/early 2nd season roots. It helps that we're seeing flashbacks for the original castaways too.

Ms. Cleo and Mikhail's convo...

Klugh: Mikhail! You know what to do.
Mikhail: We still have another way.
Klugh: We cannot risk. You know what to do.
Mikhail: We still have another way.
Klugh: We cannot risk. You know the conditions.
Mikhail: We have another way.
Klugh: They know us. We will to let them [unintelligible]. You know what to do. It is an order.
Mikhail: But we still have another way! (pause) I'm sorry! (shoots) (End)

Did anyone else expect the computer to ask about a nice game of global thermonuclear war?

I really like Sayid. And I love that Sawyer can't use any nicknames, lol!

Yep I guess I wasn't the only one noting how many nicknames he was using, I guess it was intentional to set up this episode.

Much better last night, that was great tv.

On the plot hole don't know if it's what Jon means but am I the only one who found it nuts that in order to get the command screen on the computer that ultimately Locke used to blow up the building, he first has to beat the computer at Chess? I mean isn't the whole point of wiring the place up for self destruction so it can be done quickly in case of emergency? Who the hell has time to play chess in an emergency?

Locke was really out of it last night so obsessed with the computer that he nearly got himself killed by the Ruskie.

I'm also torn with Sawyer, I love the character and the smart ass comments but it's obvious that whoever writes that character has realized the popularity of his nicknames for people and now it's almost become a contest to see how many they can get in per minute. Somewhere a group of college kids are playing a drinking game around all those nicknames.
.

And they have realized they need to take a break ;)

Also - loved it when Sawyer said "Who the heck are you" to Nikki :)
