But totally in character - he obsesses over pushing buttons...
true - but still irresponsible.

Also - loved it when Sawyer said "Who the heck are you" to Nikki

And they have realized they need to take a break

Yep, our receptionist here has an interesting theory on Nikki and the TP guy. She said she saw it on a lost board. Since we know Desmond has the weird
time travel deal going on, maybe the reason those 2 are suddenly on the island and acting like they've been part of the cool clicque all along is that maybe Desmond did something in time that caused a change in the present and suddenly they're here?
In other words originally they're not on the plane so they don't end up on the island, but Desmond makes some small change in time that causes a ripple that ends up with them on the plane, and thus on the island. And because it's a time change, nobody else on the island thinks it's odd they're suddenly there?
Interesting to think about at least.
In his defense - how could he know that pushing 77 would blow up the building? Maybe he thought it would send out a distress signal.
Next clue - what language was the radio broadcast in Season 1 in?
Daniele is French...already answered that - french (that's why they needed shannon)

Yep I guess I wasn't the only one noting how many nicknames he was using, I guess it was intentional to set up this episode.
Much better last night, that was great tv.
OK - now do you have a clue? Again, not a big plot hole, more of a goof
How is that a plot hole or a goof? Did it occur to you that they planned for it to be in France the whole time?
I think Jon is saying if Sayid lived and worked in France he should speak some French so why did he need Shannon to translate the message in season 1?
Am I getting warm Jon?
We have a winner!
Even he had become fluent, you would have thought he would have learned some of the language by living there - since that is how Shannon learned French.

Of course, they did answer one big question last night.
the others have the capability to communicate to the "outside" world (whatever that means)?

they answered a bunch of them but then the Russian guy turned out to be a liar so now we're not sure how much was real.
But we learned that Dharma came after the others(the hostiles) and that they are indeed separate. So the people who think the others descended from those on the boat they found before may be right. We learned there was a "purge". We learned about the submarines etc.
We just don't know what was true and what wasn't. But we should learn more, Sayid took the Dharma operations manual, it had the map in that he pulled out, and no doubt has a lot more info about Dharma we'll now learn.
Much better episode for me last night.
Yes - that manual should be good.
If they are all not Dharma - who are they? How did they get to the island?
Descendents of the Black Rock?
