how about answering these question

Why the quarintine?
What is the smoke stuff the island uses?
Can we get some more insight on Darma?

Those are good questions that will probably never get answered!

I do like the fact we know what Jack's tat is but the other two are lame.

That's right, she was the woman who disappeared as they were climbing that hill, moments before Ana Lucia shot Shannon.

I knew there had to be something I was forgetting since they're usually pretty good at this stuff and yeah you're right she was the one grabbed on that hill.

i thought the three answers were:

- jack's tattoo
- the others live on the main island and have real homes and backyard's and stuff
- they steal the kids to give them a better life

i thought it was interesting that when alex was talking to jack in the cage, she said "that was three questions, now you answer one" or something like that.

FWIW I found a lost board yesterday and they said on a podcast the producers blasted ABC over the 3 key questions advertising. They said ABC blew it, the episode was never intended to be a big reveal episode, and that everyone will be wondering what 3 questions as a result. THe podcast was BEFORE the show aired so I guess they knew we'd all be going "what were the 3 questions answered?"

Actually we don't know what Jack's tat means because after she said that, he said "that's not what it means."

I also read somewhere it's simple Chinese letters and it does NOT mean what the lady said it means. So I'm thinking Bai Ling told him what she saw, but didn't "mark" him with that but with something else?

I think some Dharma stuff if revealed in the next Episode, Espisode 11 or 14. I don't remember...

The Others living on the big island and not the smaller one cannot be one the "questions answered" simply because it wasn't an unanswered question. We knew the Others were on the same island as everyone else from the first episode of this season.

Actually noone paid very good attention apparently, the 3 questions that were answered were the 3 asked by Sawyer and Kate to the "other" Karl:

#1 Where do the others live? - They live on the main island, only work on the other island.

#2 Where are the people you took? - They are part of the others, and are given a "better life"

#3 Where are the children? - Also with the others, although not answered directly by Karl, they are shown with the others later on while Jack is in the cage.

So you don't think the tattoo thing was one of the answered questions? I thought that it almost certainly was.

We got that... But the question that were answered are lame!!

I think these writers are "Lost". I'm watching Sawyer hang out with the kid ("Karl") and wondering why's he spending all his time saying "freckles" and trying to be cool, when he should be quizzing Karl on the Others and finding out what's going on.

Apparently Sawyer's not too interested or the writers expect to drag this story out another 4 seasons. At the current rate of viewer dropoff, it will be lucky to still be on TV next spring -- and that's according to many in the industry.

They asked him questions before that and that's just the way Sawyer should act. They already said they are planning to end this at Episode 100...

I think this is the problem with TV series... They don't want to give to much away and they don't know how to end a series. They want to keep you on a perpetual ride and eventually people get sick of it. If the writers would explain one of the bigger questions so us viewers are left in limbo about everything would help. How about answering the relevance of the numbers (4, 8, 15,16, 23, 42 IIRC)!!!

Its a catch 22....

Answer the questions and the mystery is gone, so there is no reason to tune in.

Don't answer the questions, and everyone is pissed because its a prick tease and they stop tuning in.

option 2 is why I stopped going to strip clubs too.

Maybe they all have a Quentin Tarantino complex and think of each plot as the briefcase with the glowing something or other.

tee hee

Heroes reveals secrets all the time and opens up another door to further develop the plot and leave the show encased in mystery.

Lost can do the same. Half the battle of watching Lost is trying to recall an episode or character that the plot may be referencing.

I agree with the above poster stated. At the start of the show, they would give us a small secrets that was part of an overall story arc. What sucked people into Lost was that nobody really knew what the big picture was about. I think they writers wrote themselves into a corner by giving us too much of the big picture. Now everybody wants to know the main answers and we are no longer satified will little bits.

They writers may have revealed too much too quickly. Either that or they have an even bigger mystery in store for us. Mabye what we think has been the main hub of the story only ends up being another little piece of a much bigger plot line? I hope so.

I would agree with the thinking here. Bring some answers to the initial plane crash and "the Others" mystery, but set up a new mystery, like how will they get off the island why these people were selected, etc.

Develop the story instead of dragging out some mystery. After I watch the show every week I turn to my wife and ask her what happened in the last hour, but usually the answer is "nothing".

Very good episode!

Like an old Lost episode

I mean, first 5 minutes, you have young Hurley, Vincent carrying a hand with a key, and a mysterious vehicle!

Yeah, tonight was a nice break...everyone back together, Hurley trying to have fun, more of his backstory...

Having a nice little story with Kate was good too.

Next week's episode looks awesome.

I thought tonight's episode was great! I actually cheered out loud when Hurley got the car started, lol!

I was wondering who Kate was going to go look for for help. Shoulda known. Duh.

I've always liked the Hurly-Sawyer-Jin-Charlie dynamic, and it was nice to see it again in this episode.

Will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens with Sawyer and Kate.

I wonder if they'll ever explain why Hurley's lady friend was in the mental institution with him.
