There are 2 big reasons why I think Juliet is lying about everythihg.

One, she had the key to the handcuffs the whole time.

And two, her reason for not unlocking the cuffs is so incredibly lame. Instead of being worried that Kate would run off and leave her, couldn't she have followed? And how did the cuffs get on in the first place? Did Juliet put them on herself? If she didn't, why in the world would she happen to have the key to them? She's definitely a plant.

also - she claimed that they didn't know what the monster was. but that has to be a lie because they know enough about it to know how to keep it out of their camp using that sonic fence/force-field. they definitely know more that what she was letting on.

When the smoke monster was chasing them did anybody else wonder why Juliet didn't just lure the monster inside the fence, run back and turn it on so the monster was trapped INSIDE?

I guess because they wanted to get Jack and Sayid but the first thing that occurred to me was if the monster can't cross the fence, trap it inside.

I was actually starting to think that Juliette was coming over to the good side until the handcuff thing. Why would someone put handcuffs on her then leave the key in her pocket? If she put the handcuffs on, then she really wasn't knocked out as she says.

If you look at what Juliette has gone through, I think there is no doubt she has no love for the OTHERS. So, I don't think she is evil as much as desperate to go home. That might mean making another deal with Ben. Ben is an evil SOB.

It appears that Locke has now gone to the dark side just to fill his selfish desire for answers.......or has he?

:jedi:

How ironic would it be if Juliette turns out to be a plant. Then Locke pretends to join up with the OTHERS to in turn do the same thing. Great con by Hurley and a monster appearence in the same episode. This show is so back.

Was the flashing light 'lightning' or was it the smoke-monster doing something?

Also, I swore I saw Leinart in the Allstate commercial driving one of the vehicles and eating ice cream. I'll have to double check my DVR when I get home tonight.

I think it was a scan of some sort. Possibly scanning someone the monster didn't have contact with before? Possibly scanning her thoughts?

Ok, my problem with the sonic-fence keeping out the smoke monster, is Kate, Locke, Sayid and Russo all climbed over the fence thus bypassing the sonic generator, and we have all seen the smoke bend and tower above trees, why can't it just go over the fence just like they did? Seems the fence is only effective directly between the posts.

the key pad to turn the fence on and off was inside the fence. she wouldn't have been able to turn it on and be outside of it.

maybe it is rooted to the ground somehow? for example (and sorry if this doesn't make sense; i'm not good at describing things): when i was a kid i had a little theater set that had little plastic characters. each character had a magnet on the bottom of it, and they were controlled by a "wand" that also had a magnet on it. you would stick the wand under the stage and use the magnets to glide the characters around the stage.

maybe the smoke thing is something like that? it's not on rails or tracks, but maybe it is stuck to the ground by some other force we can't see. i don't know, just speculating.

You mean like the magnetic field that would destroy the world if they didn't push the button? Good idea but isn't the magnetic field toast? Maybe it is only partially toast...

or it could be that what the monster cannot pass through, normal people can. for instance, why are they safe inside that bramble of vines and branches? it would seem that "smokie" would be able to get through that very easy.

Probably true, I was assuming some built in delay from when you enter the code to when it comes on.

Maybe the monster is more instictual then we think. So far all we know about it is that it appears to be able to appear as things from a persons past. Possibly getting it from people when it scans you (flash thing it did to Juliette). The monster or whatever it is may not actually have any rational thought but might be able to mimic thought when reading someones mind. Animals can kill without having any actual rational thought (i.e. going over a sonic fence). Just speculation on my part.

Is anyone else suspicious that Juliet was not really "left", but that this is a setup and she is being used to infiltrate the Losties camp? I think Ben is still manipulating and he has got Jack to the point that he really trusts Juliet. Just a thought.

I am totally on board with that theory. The question is does Juliet know this or is she an unknowing participant?

The question is...what the heck happened with Locke's dad to make him join them and then all of them go off somewhere?

Also, Jack should bring the Losties to the Others camp...much better living arrangements :)

Yeah. Wonder what is going on with Locke. And the Losties should totally take up residence in the Others camp.

Next week looks great.
Juliet: If I told you everything I knew, you would kill me.
Sayid: What do you think will happen if you DON'T tell me.

Classic.

Sayid rocks. Nuff said.

Next week is a Juliet flashback episode. Apparently we learn more about how she got to the island and what she did when she got there.

Loved Hurley getting one over on Sawyer.

That was hilarious. It was great to see Hurley give Sawyer some of his own medicine.

Sawyer: "That's got to be one of the dumbest cons of all time" (or something like that) - Great Stuff

One of the dumbest but also one of the funniest.

Not sure what to say about this episode. We did learn a little bit more about what Ethan was really doing in the camp with them all in Season 1, and we learned a bit more about Juliet. However, the real thing that came up now is what the heck is going to happen in "one week" when Ben said she'd see Juliet?

Oh, and Sayid and Sawyer--I want those 2 on my side in a fight.
