That was a good episode. Where did that eye-patch guy come from? Jeez... And I knew that was Jin's mom right before she said it. I like Jin and Sun's story. Oh and Juliet leaving a message for Ben...so they did know somehow...

i just watched the episode again. it looks like the copy of the picture in the book is a scanned copy, printed from a computer. it definitely is not the same as the one des has.
the monk doesn't seem to care so much that he gets to the island, just that he does whatever it is he's "destined" to do. if you remember, the beginning of that episode had the monk saying to des (after the year of silence was up), "you're one of us, brutha."
What a great episode. I thought the producers all have said they are NOT dead, the island isn't purgatory, etc. I'm very confused. How did the eyepatch guy survive? I'm very confused. So wounds heal fast according to eyepatch, but if you are dead, you are dead? That doesn't jive, because wasn't boone just hurt and didn't heal up like eyepatch guy?

This show is as amazing now as it was in season 1...
I almost stood up and cheered when Mikhail appeared and when Jin used Judo or Karate or whatever to take him down. I just love these characters---Hurley, Des, Charlie, Jin and Sun--just great characters and great actors.
The last episodes of this season are going to rock...

Okay, so a lot of people are going to think that the producers lied, and all of the people from the plane are actually dead and in some sort of purgatory. I think based on the fact that we just saw Mikhail again there is some sort of cloning, resurrection, or another dimension happening here.
Is it possible that Jack's father's body was taken by the other's, and now he is still alive again.
This would explain why Mrs. Klu gave up her life so easily, and the others never seem terribly upset when somebody is killed.
I don't know if any of you remember this, but in the first season there were some pieces of a future script released. One of the things I remember from that was that there was something about Jack coming face-to-face with himself.
I think it is cloning. I think it could be why Juliet is getting samples from everybody.

So many questions, so the girl from the first year of Las Vegas survives and tells them that they found flight 815 and there were no survivors? Do we assume they found just a small part of the plane and assumed no survivors, or is there some sort of parallel or split universe thing at work, in which case she crossed between the 2?
Eyepatch Russkie wasn't really dead, others have died, including all the pregnant mothers. So it must just be certain types of injuries or wounds that heal? We know Ben is the only one to have cancer and still don't know why just him? Now we have to guess why eyepatch guy and parachute girl didn't die but Boone did? eyepatch said if he didn't ventilate the lung she'd die so he clearly knew she COULD die.
Did they set up Kate and Sawyer to get Kate pregnant?
We've never quite got why Locke's legs started to give out on him just before Boone got hurt and died, what caused that, did boone dying "fix" that or was it a coincidence?

That's a huge chance, but if he had been following them, he might have already known that the girl was injured. Otherwise, he wouldn't have let himself "stumble" upon the group.

Possible but my theory is that the Dharma Initiative made a fake crash site. They have shown before that they were willing to do anything to get what they wanted and didn't seem to have a problem with money (They owned a sub for crying out loud).
What better way to make sure that people do not interfere with their experiments then to let the outside world think that they're dead?

Well Hugo did shoot off the flare giving away their position. He might have just figured that they had something that he wanted (ie the satellite phone)
