Patch could have heard the helo the night before and head into the general area...

i think it is more likely that he could have been following/spying on them. i remember the mystic surrounding the others because they were so quiet and nobody knew when they were around. i still think they are like that but our guard has been dropped because we have spent so much time with them. but i'm betting they still got tricks...

One thing that the eye-patch guy mentioned off-hand was the healing of wounds on the island...

Wonder if he got shot but healed ?

Guess that didn't happen for Boone though.

I hope it's not clones...

Okay, I know this is a real reach, but how about this. What if people who die on the island do heal and "come back to life"? It didn't happen for the dead people from the plane crashed because they burned their bodies. The other people that have died like Boone, Shannon, the last two that were buried alive, Ethan have all been buried.

I've always wondered about Locke's comment about things washing up when they are buried on the beach.

Right, I think it was "Nothing stays buried on this island forever". Certainly possible. The best thing about 'Lost' is you never know what direction they finally decide to take. They just keep you guessing.

got this tidbit from our receptionist.

When the parachute girl says something they all look at patch guy and he says "she said thank you". We clearly all knew that's not what she said.

Apparently what she said was:

I'm not alone

Could it be plausible that the girl who dropped from the sky is an Other, and just trying to stir the pot with her claim that the flight had no survivors?

Possible but my theory is that the Dharma Initiative made a fake crash site. They have shown before that they were willing to do anything to get what they wanted and didn't seem to have a problem with money (They owned a sub for crying out loud).

What better way to make sure that people do not interfere with their experiments then to let the outside world think that they're dead?

I think both of these theories are good...I have thought of both as well...good stuff.

Wow!

I also like the idea that Dharma or Mittelos Bioscience made a fake crash site. In fact I would bet that it was Mittelos if I had to choose between the two.

Don't read if you want to be surprised

looks like I was right about Locke's father being the original Sawyer...

http://www.spoilerfix.com/lost.php

04/16 - A newly focused Locke breaks away from "The Others" in an attempt to persuade Sawyer to help rid them of a great nemesis that has caused nothing but pain in both of their lives. Meanwhile, a new island inhabitant discloses some shocking information about Oceanic Flight 815. Guest starring are M.C. Gainey as Mr. Friendly/Tom, Kevin Tighe as Anthony Cooper, Mira Furlan as Danielle Rousseau, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Kimberly Joseph as Cindy and Marsha Thomason as Naomi. Source: ABC

I expected it...disappointing how predictable some things are but they do have their fair share of surprises so I'm not complaining. I love this show.

So, does Sawyer kill Locke's dad tonight? My hunch is no, that Sawyer won't do it.

It's initeresting. A lot of these characters are desperately trying to NOT be what they were.

Locke
Charlie
Sayid ("I don't do that anymore.")
Kate

And to an extent, Sun and Jin, though I think their "rebellion" against who they were is more subtle.

Only Jack and Sawyer seem to try hold on to what they were--especially Sawyer. We saw him try to reject his old life a little bit last week. Will that trend be more pronounced this week, or will he fall back to clinging to who he was?

Desmond is different--he's had a number of different "people" that he's been (drinker, monk, fiancee, sailor).

So-- are people speechless, or...?

Funny how the whole "island as purgatory" theory has cropped up in a BIG way. Although because it has become such a major plot point now, it's just gotta be false.

James Ford kicks ass!

I hope James gets the chance to beat some sense into Jack, who has become increasingly annoying with all his secrets and his "holier-than-thou" attitude.

And did Ben put what's-his-name up to giving Locke Sawyer's file? Or is there mutiny brewing amongst the Others?

So what do Jack and Juliette know that they won't tell?

Will Jack tell next week when Sawyer exposes Juliette?

Is Locke really trying to be a double agent or does he want in with Ben and the others for reaL? I'm guessing double agent just didn't want to tell Sawyer that because he doesn't trust that it wouldn't get back to Ben.

Is Locke's dad really dead or will he come back too, maybe when Locke unveils him?

Are the 'others' angels? If the island is a purgatory type place angels are the only thing I can think of that can travel from one plane to the next.

I think Julliette is playing Ben. She and Jack "hatched" the plan together and are trying to keep it under wraps. There's a lot of "do you trust Jack" going around -- including that exact line from Jack himself (to Charlie). I think he's saying "I have this under control, you have to trust me." I think he DOES have it under control.

Is Locke really trying to be a double agent or does he want in with Ben and the others for reaL? I'm guessing double agent just didn't want to tell Sawyer that because he doesn't trust that it wouldn't get back to Ben.
I think he was telling the truth when he said he's "not with anybody." He's on his own journey. The only reason he's going back to the Others is because they have answers that he wants.

I think he may come back.

I don't think Angels need subs or satellite feeds.

I don't think it's really Hell or Purgatory.

I sort of think that the island is Eden and that the others could be the protectors of Eden (arch-angels)...but we'll see.

Maybe, but we don't really know how angels have evolved into the 21st century.

With all the different mytho's material objects were used all the time. My wife and I were discussing this after the episode last night. The Ferryman on the river Styx used a boat to transport people to Hades as an example. Angels used chariots as another. Now they use Submarines...

Just saying. I'm not sure I buy it either but with the info of them finding flight 815 with all lost it sure looks like some type of Limbo/Purgatory plane.

I know WHO he is, I just didn't remember his name.
He was also in the SitCom with Brooke Shields and just recently he was in 'Smokin Aces'.

Nestor Carbonell...

My bad, I thought you were asking for the actor's name...

This show is so freaking good right now. I thought Locke's dad was the biggest A-hole on the planet. The more that guy opened his mouth the more I wanted Sawyer to shut him up.

The show is going to go out with a bang. Our resident Jane of the Jungle is going to blow something up. We are going to get some answers about the island and it sounds like Jack has had something up his sleeve all along.

The last episodes can't come fast enough for me.
