Better off silent
There's been an update, and it might not be 2 seasons after all, might be longer.
I was just about to post that!!!
But how about the tidbit at the end about a cast-related "game-changer"???
Penny "notices" the island. And Richard seems to come and go, though I could have my timelines mixed up .Who are you referring to coming from the mainland?
Yes. For "predictability" in the sense that everyone guessed it from the start and "predictability" in the sense that it's the same cop-out of "it was all a dream..." would be.Why would that be a letdown to you? ...Predictability?
I have a question... Sawyers file and all the information that is in it. How do the 'others' get the info? I mean it is all knowing information that in most cases there would be no way to get it. Maybe the Patriot Act....
They've showed the outside world notice the Island, and people coming to the Island from the mainland.
I honestly think if it's some sort of Purgatory, it will really, REALLY be huge letdown.
Hmm, my dad told me about a really popular show that made the entire first season a dream. Maybe you're talking about the same thing?Penny "notices" the island. And Richard seems to come and go, though I could have my timelines mixed up .

I don;'t know about that...but it's a pretty standard "out" in amateur fiction.Hmm, my dad told me about a really popular show that made the entire first season a dream. Maybe you're talking about the same thing?

Wasn't it St. Elsewhere? The entire show was someone's dream?
no it was the final god awful season of Rosanne after she won the lottery.Wasn't the entire 3rd season of Dallas a dream? The one where Bobby wasn't shot?

the writers and producers have said that this is not a dream - they wouldn't short-change the audience that way.
also - coming and going to the island - we think that michael and walt left as well - although we still do not know that for sure. but richard and ethan seemed to have been able to come and go as they needed.

I gotta wonder if Michael and Walt will be returning to the island sometime in the season finale. Hard to believe they've been gone all season--especially since Michael was such a main character.
i thought the producers said we would see them again in season 4.

When we see Walt again, he'll have visibly aged--He's a kid in puberty, but even in season 4 they're still likely only on the island for a few months despite that we haven't seen Walt for 3 years.
right - which goes back to a theory i had much earlier on as it deals with the others being able to control events, etc. it was that time moves differently slower on the island as opposed to off the island. so i think if that holds true, Walt and Michael could return older.

I'm sure they can make him look a couple years younger, like the kids..young adults, in Harry Potter. When we see Walt again, he'll have visibly aged--He's a kid in puberty, but even in season 4 they're still likely only on the island for a few months despite that we haven't seen Walt for 3 years.
Isn't that assuming they left the island in the first place? Why didn't Naomi know about Michael and Walt unless they were lost at sea or just stayed silent about the island. She said they had been searching for awhile, and Penny probably sent her people out searching as Michael and Walt were leaving the island.
My theory is that they never really left the island, leaving a whole bunch of cool flashbacks for Season 4.
that might be true - but they gave him (michael) a very specific heading to travel on which i took to be a "gateway" of sorts that allows them to move in and out of that area - remember, they are able to bring people from the outside in, so i do not see any reason why they would not be able to leave either.
