The prediction I'm making is that the smoke monster is going to kill the bad guys from the boat. You can hear it in the background in the previews for the upcoming episode, and it just makes sense.

I can't wait.

The Winds of Change are ablowin'

Change Is Gonna Come to 'Lost'
Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse tease season finale

http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-losttease041708,0,1464680.story

"The "Lost" finale, titled "There's No Place Like Home," will actually be a three-part story, beginning with the May 15 episode and concluding with a two-hour event on Thursday, May 29 (the show is off on May 22 to make room for the finale of "Grey's Anatomy"). Lindelof and Cuse strongly suggested that the finale will reveal how the Oceanic 6 come to leave the island and the ramifications it has for those characters and those left behind.

"All I can say is, Sawyer isn't one of the Oceanic 6 and Jack and Kate are," Lindelof says, referring to the ongoing love triangle between Josh Holloway's, Evangeline Lilly's and Matthew Fox's characters. "It will obviously be a huge focus in the final three hours of the show that comprise the finale in terms of how that series of events transpires, and ultimately what happens to Sawyer."

You should subscribe to PopCritics.com, we told ya this news a week ago :)

I know, spam, whatever...it's a good site :)

Fantastic news getting an extra hour at the end of the season instead of the five originally scheduled.

Thanks for that insightful post. :p

I am excited. I love this show. I will be interested to see what happens with Sawyer and his "choice" to stay on the island.

My response to his post was  YIKES!, you're the one.

LOL, my husband stopped watching--he said there were too many characters storylines, flash forwards/backwards and watching Lost stressed him out. :D

How am I supposed to post anything about a show I haven't watched?

:p

Crap episode.

I like how guys with grenade launchers can't storm the house. I like a shelf in front of one door prevents them from using the back door or one of the many windows.

I also like how a house Claire is in gets a corner blown off in one scene and in the next shot it is a skeletal remain of a house or how Claire was protected by what appeared to be particle board.

That was some of the crappiest action I've seen in tv. Definitely a subpar episode.

I have to admit I got lost on the timeline last night. Ben's in Tunisia and they tell him it's 2005, when did the plane crash again? It's obvious that all happened after the plane crash of course.

Given the wait for a new episode I thought this one was pretty lacking, if ben has this secret room in the place that appeared to be pretty well fortified why send his daughter out to go find a "sanctuary", just hided in the secret room? Actually given everything they have on the island it's pretty far fetched that tehy don't have some sort of bunker to hide in?

Damn, guys. I loved last night ep.

1. Thye Dead/Alive Doc: Two possibilities...either the doc is dead on the island because that's "future doc" and the "present/past doc" just hasn't had his throat slit yet; or...we're dealing with alternate universes/realities and the dead doc somehow "crossed over" into our reality.

2. Ben is some how porting around the world. Seems he (at least) went from the island to the desert without a craft (despite telling Sayid that he sailed off the island). This means that there's options for Jack and crew to get back.

3. Ben is a badass with the baton.

Yeah, I can't figure out why people don't like last night's episode. I thought it was great--a lot of stuff to digest and some questions answered. There are legitimate questions still remaining, but some of these so-called fans of the show are slamming the writers when really, they usually are able to explain 98% of these things in future episodes.

"so-called fans"? did you really just insult people or try to denigrate them simply because they didn't like a particular TV episode?

The shock factor in last night's episode with Ben's daughter getting killed was great. Ben was finally not able to talk his way out of something. Now Penny will be the next one on the list. Sayid has to kill Desmond's girl, which should lead up to a good confrontation.

The whole series is based on the philosophy of "that couldn't happen". So details and picking it apart based on some things mentioned earlier, I seriously think people are making excuses not to watch the show. If I want reality, I'll watch Bret Michaels or Flava Flav. LMAO!

I thought the fence kept it out?

IIRC they had a plan to meet somewhere after he went into his panic room and that all changed when the smoke monster came to town.

Ben's daugher turned off the fence, the bad guys from the boat made her do it.

That part confused me too, if Ben can control smokey, why do they need a fence to keep it out?

Smokey is one of many explanations I can't wait to get I'm sure in the end it will all make sense but not right now.

I'm not sure he can control who the smoke monster goes after as much as where it goes. Besides, the fence protects the entire perimeter where is the smoke monster can only really protect one place at once.

I loved last night's episode. I agree with Bob about picking apart the action scenes. I too thought they were a little on the cheesy/inconsistent side, but I definitely wasn't room upset because the bad guys didn't go into the back door or something like that. They were under strict instructions not to harm Ben. He knew they couldn't hurt him. Makes it kind of hard to storm the house under those directions.

I was shocked that they actually killed Alex. Maybe I'm a heartless bastard, but I actually like that about this show. They don't seem to have a problem killing off main characters to tell the story.

This is the second time somebody has said to Ben that they know "what he is".

It looked to me like ben was able to jump in time in his own consciousness like Desmond was doing. Watch again when he wakes up in the desert.

Judging by the expression on Ben's face as he walked away from Sayid it would seem that it was his plan to have sayid act as his own personal assassin the whole way through. It almost left me wondering whether it was Ben or one of his men who killed Sayid's wife.

Those soldiers must have gotten something in their eyes when they were shooting at Sawyer because their aim was just awful. :)

Fun episode. Not sure they answered questions as much as set the table to answer questions.

The Jacob storyline is starting to bug, though.

If so, what was his past or future self doing lying in the desert wearing a parka? No, he somehow physically just "arrived" there--his past or future self was not already there (which is what happens to Des). In fact, I think I saw some condensated breath coming out of his mouth when he wakes up in the desert.

And, he was either shot or had a cut on his arm. I don't think his conscience could have created that. Hell, I doubt his conscience WOULD have wanted to create that! :)

i'll be pretty interested to see how next week is handled. knowing that Jack gets off the island means he has to live through his medical crises, so I'm interested to see how they make any part of that storyline interesting... it'll probably be in the payoff of how he survives, but is the entire episode gonna be the rather pointless drama of "will he live or die" when we know that he has to live based on the flashforwards? is this where Claire's relationship with him comes up and has to do with Kate taking Erin because Claire has to give herself up or something? Like I said, interested to see what they do next week.
