My one frustration is how John Locke has been reduced to mugging for the camera waiting for Ben to "answer" questions.

This was my point about "are they the 'same' people?" The Dr. is dead and alive at the same time....why should that be a unique phenomenon?

My theory was that the "present" doctor is still alive (and will fix Jack), and the doctor that washes on shore is a "future" doctor. Probably reaching, but it's as good as the next theory, IMO.

I just don't think Faraday would seem so perplexed about it if it were the time difference thing. Obviously, one theory is as good as another...yours is probably right.

Me too! But I haven't much liked Jack since the beginning of the series. He may have been anointed the "leader" but in all honesty he is one weak dude. He was an addict waiting to happen, good thing for him he can blame the island for all his problems.

I know it must be creepy to see your dead dad everywhere but worse things have happened to some of the others, man up wimpy boy.

Jack was never strong, he was just smart about things. His fear helps him make good decisions for the most part.

I guess I'm wondering if the reason Jack decided to be involved in raising aaron has something to do with Claire? Remember the psychic lady told her something about your baby can't be raised by other people(I forget the exact wording). In the flash forward when he says Kate isn't even related that means he clearly knows Claire is/was his half sister.

So maybe at some point she told him what the psychic had said and he decides because he is related to Aaron he needs to raise him?

Well, now we know why Aaron is one of the six and Claire isn't. Have we seen the last of her for awhile like Michael and Walt? We also saw why Jack was in the condition he was in at the end of last season in the first flash forward. Who's funeral was it that Jack was at in that episode? Do we know that yet? Charlie told Hurley that Jack would be getting another visit and he starts seeing daddy. Poor Hugo, he is way messed up. What ever happened with the numbers? Yep, I'm still Lost.

Yeah well remember when Hugo gave the message to Jack from Charlie, maybe because of their dad nobody in the family can raise aaron. But Jack def knows hes related to claire bc of what he said at the end and im assuming what kate did for sawyer was give something to his daughter. I believe there was a letter or something in a previous episode.

I am guessing that, at some point, Jack, Claire and Pops will meet up on the island and all that history will be revealed. Then Claire will die.

I'm actually beginning to like Kate less after this episode. I love Jin though.

I'm pretty sure Michael is going to die on that island, because the island has an old-school sense of justice. Anyone rooting for him to live? Die elsewhere? I hope he dies a miserable death. No sympathy for him.

My best guess for the coffin has always been Hurley, but my wife keeps pointing out the coffin wasn't big enough. I don't know about that. She's probably right. My second guess was Ben, because even though Jack hated him, by that point in the flash forward, Ben may have been his best and only shot of getting back on the island. That would explain by Jack was neither family nor friend and still felt sorrow at the funeral. It would also explain why no one else showed up.

I originally thought it was Ben, but then it seems like no matter what, he never gets killed. I thought the coffin was also too small for Hurley.

Tell us how you really feel, lol! Actually, yeah, I don't like him either. I think the funeral could be his cause, obviously, he has no one who likes him back home. Then again, like you said, he could die on the island. Maybe he'll die redeeming himself to the other survivors somehow.

I agree with your wife that the coffin isn't big enough, though that may not matter. I think a lot of who is in the coffin depends on the timing. After Jack went to the funeral home, he met Kate and told her they had to go back. Was that prior to him proposing marriage to her or after? I am guessing it is after and likely the most recent event in the whole series of things. So, if that is the case, then, yes, I believe it could be Hurley. Still, I would be surprised that none of his family would show.

It is NOT Hurley. Come on. Why would Kate think Jack a fool for thinking that Kate would show up? EVERYBODY loved Hurley. There are plenty of things that don't make sense in this show, but there is no conceivable logic as to Hurley being in the coffin. And in the ghetto.

Michael's son me thinks. To be honest I don't really look forward to this show anymore. It's dragged on a bit too far, and gone a bit too far into the deep end.
