LOL and Hurley and Miles discussing time travel. Best part of the episode. Sort of a shout out to all of us who've been trying to figure it out. LOL No. 2 at Hurley referencing Back to the Future.

Classic scene. I thought the fact the Hurley through Miles for a loop at the end....then the blank look on the face was hilarious.

In the episode that Jack, Hurley and Kate join DAHRMA, Jack asks Sawyer "He's here?" when Sawyer mentioned Faraday. Sawyer's answer was, "Not anymore."

Remember in the season premier, Faraday was in the cave in the past when they got close to the time wheel mabob. I am sure he is working in the caves.

As soon as young Ben met Sayid I started wondering how they are going to explain the fact that Ben didn't seem to remember him, or any of the others for that matter, later on. I think had the writers known ahead of time what would happen this season, then probably this would have been incorporated into the earlier seasons. I guess the explanation is what Richard said, that Ben is not going to remember any of it. A bit of a cop-out, but not sure what else they could do at this point. At least they addressed it by having Hurley ask the same questions many of us were asking.

I suppose of you were an astrophysicist, you could suggest time travel prevents one from going back to one's own reality. Multiple dimensions/realities (infinite, really, every possible reality).

I really thought it was going to play into Ben's future plan when he needed surgery and the the Oceanic survivors. He knew a lot about them, almost way too much.

I know everyone is saying that things can't be changed, but I really think helping young Ben is gonna bite Sawyer and Kate in the ass ... even more so than knowing Ben has already bitten them.

Am wondering how Kate's big mouth about the lie will come into play eventually.

I was thinking about this too, and I came to the conclusion that Ben probably did remember Sayid. Perhaps on a second viewing of the first season we may be able to pick up on some clue that we missed the first time through.

If I remember correctly, Richard doesn't say Ben won't remember anything, he said he won't be the same.

When Charlotte was dying she remembered meeting Daniel as a kid, so it's definitely possible that that Ben can remember too.

But wouldn't that imply that the writers had known back then exactly what would happen this far down the line? I don't think that's likely.

They knew at least part of where the story has been going throughout the series' total run.

It's too important a storyline for them to not have done so. The show runner's have insisted they've had this storyline hashed out from almost the beginning, and one of the reason's the negotiated for the season to end in 2010 was because that's how the storyline was written -- with an ending.

This specific storyline has definitely been hashed out all along because it relates to the nature of the island, an integral piece to the development of the mythology. Everything I've seen so far strongly supports the Mirror Moon Theory, which is based on theoretical astrophysics. They knew where they were going, even if they hadn't plotted out every single dip in the road before they go there. They wouldn't have come this far without determining how time travel and other apparent paradoxes work in this reality years ago.

Lindeloff said a few years ago that time travel has "always been in the Lost's DNA." It was something that was always there, just never explained until now.

I think they did address it in the flashback that had Ben visiting Sayid in South America. Ben was asking him to do one more hit and told Sayid he was a killer and Sayid asked what made him think he would do it for Ben again.

Ben's response was something to the effect of, "Because you are a killer--it's who you are..."

So, how old is the temple...

Why is Richard the only one not aging?

Are some of the castaways from 316 employed by Widmore?

Richard will turn out to be the real extremely good or evilperson. The front man was just a way to protect himself.
