LOL
yawn. only watching at this point to be able to say I told you so when it all flops at the end.
I got into Lost a few months ago and loved it, watched the first 4 seasons almost non-stop. Then it got strange and the time travel made the show more difficult to follow than I was willing to take, and I lost interest.
Can somebody tell me (in a few sentences) what is going on generally? Are there multiple story lines going on simultaneously and none of them are fictional? Some parallel universe thing? Did the first few seasons never actually happen?
And sorry if this is a lame question and ordinarily I wouldn't really care, but I loved the show and really am interested in what is happening even though I don't have the patience for it.
that sounds like an incredible waste of time.
Im usually writing some code while its on in the room. Bu ulltimately I agree. Also comes on when I need some rest (if I have coded too much) and there isnt anything else on and I just want to lounge.
Great episode. Anything that gets Desmond and Penny back together is pure magic.
The question for me is still 'what is the ALT'? Is it a positive reality or a negative one? And does it result from Jacob's goals or from MIB's goals?
It seems like most of the characters have 'better more settled' lives in the ALT (with some exceptions), but what if it is all a fantasy - Matrix-style?
Which is the real reality, and if they are both 'real', what will the Losties choose? Is there a devil's bargain to get the ALT world (like MIB off the island)?
So many questions. So few episodes left to answer them all. I have confidence in the writers, though, to wrap it all up strongly!
Though maybe there will be a few holdouts, like the way Locke was the only one on the island who doesn't want to leave.
He'll be an interesting character to watch. What will he see in the flash-sideways? The ability to walk? Or his death? I still wonder if he'll be the key at the end, some sort of sacrifice in the alternate reality to save the other reality.
Hey cheese, are your fellow staff writers Lost geeks, too?
uh... no. The creator of my show is one of the co-creators of Lost, and our other exec. producer and one of our producers were both writers on Lost during seasons 2 and 3.
and trust me, they're not geeks and if you had a conversation with them, your reverence of the show and how smart and well thought out it is would probably fly out the window.
with a show like Lost, the less you know about how it was created/how it was written, the better.
I wondered if you still worked with him and how that went over. Kind of how I expected. I appreciate that you can detach yourself and still appreciate Lost in spite of the obvious animosity your employer has for it. If it were me, I'd be tempted to hold a grudge out of professional courtesy, but that always ends up ruining good fun.
