Great episode again. I thought they would show him getting paralyzed - either from the surgery, or something involving his dad.

The minute they showed his Dad on dialysis, I knew Locke would give up his kidney.

The idea that the island is controlling things got stronger last night. The island gives, and takes. Will it take Boone?

I thought the same thing! "Want to go hunting?" Um, no thank you, lol!

We saw the relevance of everything in Locke's dream except why his mother was there. Why was she there?

I almost freaked out when Boone was all messed up and saying "Teresa goes up the stairs, Teresa goes down the stairs!"

Boone can't die. Maybe Locke will get in the hatch and find some sort of help there or something.

Thought the stuff with Jack and Sawyer was funny!

Can't wait til next week. Loved seeing stuff about Locke. I love that guy!

yeah!

Weird though - the ID for Locke's mom showed her being born in 1940 & the DL expired in 1996 - so let's say this happened 10 years ago.

Locke looks like he is in his late 40s to early 50s, which would've made him the late 30s to early 40s at the time.

His mom would've been ~ 56 & Locke 37-38...ok it's not as bad as I thought it was....

"There were no survivors of Oceanic 815."

Is what the close-captioning said

and man when the light went on I almost crapped my pants.

I agree I think we'll find out he killed his dad and is another one on the island who killed someone.

Wow so they are all dead and in purgatory!

Could be - or the outside world THINKS they are all dead.

And how did Nigerian Drug runners get to the South Pacific? The maps in the plane were all for Africa, the currency found was Nigerian.

Think this is where people go from places like the bermuda triangle.

Another interesting clue from the episode - did anyone catch what book Sawyer was reading?

"A Wrinkle in Time"

Quick Synopsis of Book:

Everyone in town thinks Meg Murry is volatile and dull-witted, and that her younger brother, Charles Wallace, is dumb. People are also saying that their physicist father has run off and left their brilliant scientist mother. Spurred on by these rumors and an unearthly stranger, the tesseract-touting Mrs Whatsit, Meg and Charles Wallace and their new friend Calvin O'Keefe embark on a perilous quest through space to find their father. In doing so, they must travel behind the shadow of an evil power that is darkening the cosmos, one planet at a time. This is no superhero tale, nor is it science fiction, although it shares elements of both. The travelers must rely on their individual and collective strengths, delving deep within themselves to find answers.

A tesseract is a four-dimesional cube

I said that before. I'm not so sure now.

Why would they say there were no survivors unless they found some sort of wreckage from the plane? If someone transmitted a radio call and said they were survivors of a plane crash and that plane was never recovered, then I think I'd pay a little more attention.

Each of the individuals has a certain talent that they need to find out what it is. Then with the joining of all the others, they use the collective talents to figure out and escape from the tesseract.

This sounds like the movie Cube or Cube 2 - HyperCube.

Interesting idea.

I stopped thinking that after the first person on the island died. If they're already dead, why would the marshall die, or the woman swimming die?

They have passed the test? Who's to say? Each person may have to pass a test to enter heaven?

That's a bit too "Charmed" for me. :D

THey sure keep you on your toes, when she said Locke was an immaculate conception, any other show you'd know she was kidding, but on this show you think "could be."

And then they find the plane full of hollow-drug filled Virgin Mary Statues......

I also like the way they have fun with the numbers - like 815

Oceanic Flight 815
Safety Deposit Box 815
Real Footballs on aisle 8, Nerf on aisle 15....

FINALLY saw this last night.

Wrinkle in Time, huh? Got off Watership Down?

I love this show. So meaty. Poor Locke. I hope he doesn't lose the use of his legs. He's the best character on the island.

JJ has said that there is going to be a true death by season's end and it will be a guy. So, maybe that's Boone? I'm sure it's more twisty than that, but that was my first thought.

I mean, one of the main characters, not a recurring one (let alone someone who wasn't even on the plane). Like Jack, or Sawyer, or Boone, or Hurley, or Charlie, etc.
