SPOILER

OMG what an ending!!!! And the previews were awesome for next week. God I cant wait for next weeks show!!!!!!

AWESOME TWIST!!!!!

"umm dude there is one more person here than is on the manifest"

I had chills man!

That was actually the first major twist I guessed. The first time they showed him I said to Lucy who is that guy and why have we never seen him before? She agreed he had never been on camera. I said "if this were Star Trek that'd mean he was going to die, they always take 1-2 people on the landing crew you don't know and they always die. On this show it probably means he's going be involved in the thing with the pregnant woman."

When they showed Jack back at camp it was obvious the guy had never gone there to get him. Also the fact that Hurley didn't know his name was a hint since he seems to know everyone.

The only thing "bugging" me is how they now seem to run through the jungle with no fear at all, what happened to the "monster"?

He was the guy that asked Jack about the rash when they were playing golf I think.

Really, I don't recall ever seeing him before but you're probably right.

Pretty sure he's the guy with the rash who golfed with them.

The whole monster thing, like some people speculate, could be the manifestation of their fears, and now that they've settled down, it's gone away, they are calmer...

Who knows though, they don't seem very afraid of it, that's for sure.

Maybe it's a night thing...they don't seem to venture out at night much anymore.

He was not the guy with the rash.

I remember the guy with the rash beign older, longer hair and bigger nose.

But I get things screwed up all the time, so don't mind me.

Ethan was not the guy with the rash. Ethan was the guy that went hunting with Locke.

Great episode - I love getting the backstory on why each was on the plane.

What did the psychic sense about Claire's baby? Did he send her on the flight, knowing it would crash, and force Claire to raise it? Or did he send her on the plane thinking she and the "evil" (if not raised by Claire) baby would die in the crash?

Is Ethan Danielle's son? Are there others where Ethan is taking them?

I am wondering the same thing. What is it about Claire's baby that the psychic intentionally sent her on that plane? At first I thought it was an adoption scam but when Charlie expounded his theory on the psychic being right, I think that is what really happened. Something about this baby is so evil (?) that the psychic must have seen some cataclysmic (sp?) event in the future that even her raising the baby wasn't going to work so he set them up to die.

I believe that Ethan is the rash guy but I could be wrong.

There are a few things within the story I don't like but maybe there will be some logical explanation as the series moves forward. This is still a kick ass show though and I do find myself on the edge of my seat the entire time.

If this is true could Locke be "turning" or "lost"? Remember he was the only member of the group in the pregnant womens dreams!

Also to the person who asked if there are others where ethan is taking him. In the preview the Iraqi dude (Im REAL bad at names) said "THEY are hunters"

Ethan is not they hypochondriac, he WAS the guy hunting with Locke.

Now, there are a lot more people that survived than the staple case. This allows for plot development and guest starring stuff (and it goes both ways. When was the last time we heard from the older lady who lost her husband?). BUT, Ethan felt very planted by me. They should have worked him in a little longer and more subtly. I was getting the ST Yeoman #2 feel too.

I don't think the age thing works out with Ethan being Danielle's son. Could be wrong.

I need to keep from immediately deleted Lost from Tivo. I could have gone back to watch the beginning of the episode again. Where dreamtime Lock was at the Tarot cards. Anyone else notice his eyes???

I think they psychic put Claire on that plane to put her in a place to raise him herself. That's just my opinion, but I do think it was at least deliberate. How Ethan fits into this, and whether he was already on the island or a plane passenger NOT on the manifest has yet to be determined.

Looks like things are going to get going faster and soon!

I noticed that too - very much in keeping with earlier shows.

Also - his full name is John Locke (when Hurley was doing the census) - famous philospher named John Locke I believe.

Also - Ethan said his last name was Rom - R-O-M.

The psychic told Claire not to let her baby be raised by another (or was it by an "Other"

Ethan Rom = Other Man

Note - Alex may or may not be Gabrielle's son or daughter. She referred to Alex as "my child", and gave Sayid a strange look when he asked if Alex was her son.

Speculation on a lot of the Lost message boards is that "Alex" is some sort scientific experiment code name.

I didn't notice that when I watched, but looking back at the video you can clearly see his right is is black.

I need to watch this show more closely. Maybe I'll rewatch it over Christmas

Abrams is all about those little things.

If you watch Alias, whenever those names of cities are flashed (to indicate where they're going) one letter is always highlighted. I guess by the end of the season, all those letters can be arranged to give some sort of message.

Why this show isn't the very top show these days is beyond me.

This show's ratings for an early evening drama are awesome Entertainment Weekly said. Like 18 million viewers...

Alias has a ton of that stuff...the number "47" appears in many places...just like in Lost, I think it was 47 or 48 original survivors, that lady died and left 47 I think?

The words in the cities in Alias are part of some internet game/mystery that I heard about once, but never really investigated.

Good vs Evil??

A theme that has shown up in several episodes - Backgammon game with Locke and the little boy, stones found in the mummies in the cave, etc.

Right, and who knows. But, it is definitely a common theme on the island. After all, Claire didn't see the Backgammon piece or the stones, but its in her dream.

As to what Locke said about the game, I don't remember.
