I am still wondering what happened to Alex Okafor for the 2015 playoffs.

The story that I heard was he had an accident in his pool & hurt his foot bad enough that he couldn't play. No real details on what reckless thing he was doing to injure his foot.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was riding motorcycles/dirtbikes & got hurt like some other players have done & gave the pool story as a coverup.

Doug, on the other hand, has almost no redeeming qualities as a radio show host. Like the guy as a person and media man, but he shouldnt be on radio.

This may be the only time that I have ever agreed with anything you have said, lol.

the Doug and Wolf show for me is a mix

first: you get the idea they dont like each other, or, they are like an old married couple who just snipe at each other all the time

when its good -- almost exclusively on Cardinal football -- its really good

when its bad: Wolf goes off on a tangent, etc -- its bad

Doug is so self deprecating that its uncomfortable at times to listen to.

They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Certainly 98.7 has far more meat on its bones than the other available stations, and I can't stand listening to national sports programs. I just want to pull my hair out waiting for something of local relevance.

And regarding Bickley's band - isn't the phrase "Liquor's Quicker" as in Wine is Fine but Liquor's Quicker?

Urban works for the team.

Somers and Jurecki are local reporters. Somers for the paper, Jurecki for the radio. Jurecki seems to get a ton of inside information from players and personnel. Somers tends to just report on what happened vs what is going to happen.

Urban used to be a local reporter as well

Asher & Burns lack basic sports knowledge especially locally.
Gambo & Dickley have a superiority problem being from NY & Chicago
Vince is hilarious and informed. An ASU homer and big DM fan, both good things. A little liberal though...
A good morning show would be Jacobs & Jurecki. Jacobs has a NY problem but does not kiss ass and is hilarious.

Being in NJ, Gambo sounds normal to me, LOL!

Being in NJ, Gambo sounds normal to me, LOL!

I like the dynamic between the two.

As an East Coaster (it pains me to write that, but after 25 years, I have to admit I've become one), and having spent the last 15+ years working for a NY Media company, I totally agree. Gambo is just like a lot of the guys I work with.

Jody is ok, but 910 is basically national radio and 98.7 is local radio at this point

at elast it keeps him active in reporting on the cardinals. I dont listen to a lot of talk radio due to my job and limited time but having jurecki report and scoop information is important IMO. I am very happy he is employed again in AZ.
