Kid looks like he's in his 20's. Should be a monster by the time he hits campus.
Cool. Now finish the 2017 class with Bowen. Maybe Duval, too.
Just give us Duval and call it a class. Some folks on the Rivals board are saying 1. Duke 2. AZ but that could change if Frank Jackson returns.
I wont be excited about Duval until he actually makes it to campus and practices. I still think he goes pro overseas in the end.
You just got a verbal from Emmanuel Akot in 2018. Never seen him play but the highlights sure look athletic.
Brandon McCoy: "I was going to make my decision today but I ended up changing it".
On the same day Trier announces he's coming back... Also talks about wanting to play with other great players. So far it sounds like Dorsey, Brooks and Bell are gone.

It's a cliche but I was never all that high on Shareef O'Neal. I think he can play and UA is a great choice for him because he really needs to get stronger and tougher and Miller and the training staff will help him there. I think having Shaq around the program will help recruiting not that Miller needed to help recruiting.
I'm not high on Bol Bol either and it sounds like UA has a strong chance at him. the kid you lead for that I really want at UCLA is Taeshon Cherry but he appears to be a heavy UA lean.
Funny because last week in a recruiting update on BRO they told us UCLA leads for Shareef and essentially predicted he'd pick UCLA. I posted on BRO that was completely different than what UA sites seemed to be reporting and I actually think he'll go to UA. He's far more skilled than his dad was, better shooter can handle the ball, but he's nowhere near as big and strong and really doesn't like to post up. Miller will do him wonders getting him in the low block and toughening him up. With him and Akot and looking like you're going to get Cherry I wonder if Miles Norris still picks UA he appears to be a UA lean too.
What I am hearing is Romar has been in touch with him, so you never know. Also, Duval is still in the mix. With Shaq's son committing, you can see the hiring of Romar is already paying off.
Brandon Williams
David Singleton
Emmanuel Akot
Taeshon Cherry
Shareef O'Neal
That's why I'm expecting and it's probably short a player or two. It might be unrealistic to think one of Norris/Bol comes with an already stacked frontcourt of Shareef/Cherry. If I'm not mistaken O'Neal and Bol play for the same AAU team but not sure if they fit well. I would take Norris over Cherry b/c upside but it sounds like Cherry could commit any week.
Miller and Romar won't be fair over the next year in recruiting.
I actually MUCH prefer Cherry to Norris. With Norris I wonder if he's going through a growing pains growth spurt thing he seems less athletic now than a year ago. Cherry is athletic, can shoot, finds ways to score etc. I think he's a better player now and a better prospect than Norris.
On your list I haven't seen Akot much at all looks good in videos. Singleton we're talking about him on BRO since UCLA just offered, I prefer Bernard, better athlete, the question on Singleton is that shot, his release is so low and it's not like Lonzo where he's hitting 25+ footers. He's creative, great floater, smart kid, seems tough, but you really wonder can he get that shot off in college it's such a low release.
Shareef again it's a cliche but when you grow up rich I think it's easy to not learn to play a physical hungry style and that's his issue. Shaq probably should have taken him to the hood more to local playgrounds to toughen him up, he is a bit soft to me.
Really like Brandon Williams hopefully the ACL is not an issue since speed is a big part of his game.
Depends on everything else of course but I would be surprised if either Ira Lee or Shareef see their junior year at Arizona, they both look like classic transfer guys who aren't going to play as much as they expect and won't be happy.
Shareef and Cherry are both a year and half away from seeing the floor so there's a lot that can happen in terms of skill and strength improvement. Cherry looks like a more traditional back to the basket big man but they're both pretty coordinated for their size and age.
Did Brandon Williams tear his ACL? I thought it was a lesser knee injury but significant enough to get surgery and miss his Jr season...
You might be right I know he had surgery but I googled it and I don't find anything that says what the actual surgery was for, just lingering knee injury.
Cherry is more of a faceup guy to me, has a real nice compact shot, gets it off quickly, and he is for a skinny kid pretty competitive. It sounds like he's going to UA and that will bum me out really like him.
Some of the UA insiders said they were asked not to specify his injury. Even if it was the ACL you see pretty much everyone come back to full explosiveness with today's advancements. The problem seems to be the increased chances of tearing it again.
It's going to be a fun summer. It seems like Miller always gets a 5* guy that nobody sees coming. The only downside to the Romar hire is maybe he gets a job after next season and a recruit may bolt but I see him here for two years because he really likes Miller and the program and said he could've gone to the NBA as an assistant. He's also still making a lot of money from Washington.
If he can be the go between easy liver it will be worth every dollar. I totally think the Zona kids play tense due to millers intensityThese days it's injuring the OTHER leg because you overtrain the injured one. That's what Ray Smith did and several others have. But I don't know if it's an ACL or not, hopefully not really like williams. He's probably even a better CB than the Cards Brandon Williams (-:
Romar is reportedly getting 400K, the most by an assistant in the conference. I think that gets subtracted from what UW owes him but you're right he'll make quite a bit of dough to recruit.
Where I think he might be important is the go between, Miller yells and gets in your face and then you go to Romar to calm you down. That's very underrated with kids, part of why Howland fell apart at UCLA was he lost that when Keating took the Santa Clara job.
Millers' teams seem to play "tense" in the tourney, maybe Romar can help with that.

He did? Ugh that's disgusting. I mean cmon I know you've got money but you create a monster when there's nothing left for him to look forward to. There are a ton of cool cars that he could've loved that aren't friggin' lambos. I'm going to be shocked if he ends up being a good player. You don't have to come from poverty to have hunger, but you've got to have hunger and a kid that's gotten everything always rarely possesses that extra level of grit. For kids like Ayton and O'Neal with motor issues Miller can either be the best or worst coach for them. I think he will need to be pretty tough on Shareef. It's not often you get a kid that received a Lamborghini on his 16th birthday.
Agreed free PR. And now shaq will like uofa like bill Walton.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Certainly not going to complain about UofA having 4 min of national exposure
