Duke and UK will probably end up 1-2 again but yeah the conference is loading up.

One of the IU writers for Scout came on BRO and said from his notebook the very first prospect Ed Schilling scouted for UCLA after getting hired was Kris Wilkes who must have been a freshman then. So pretty good work by the staff.

Does Alford have his own Book Richardson? He's a pretty damn good recruiter for a being what many think an average HC... Obviously UCLA sells itself given the program and location.

Grace got all the Compton Magic kids but the Ball family is basically the dad wanted them at UCLA, don't think the coach mattered although I hear the dad really likes Tyus Edney. Schilling apparently the key with Wilkes although the kid grew up as a Reggie Miller fan which is why he wears #31

Huskies go down to a short-handed Yale squad. Fultz will be in a very similar situation as Ben Simmons. Too bad we couldn't get in on him.

Romar, with all of his excellent recruiting classes, has one tourney appearances in 6 years.

I wonder if this is a do-or-die season for him. Has to be. Dude is arguably the most underachieving coach in NCAA hoops.

He actually has another good class coming in so unless someone better becomes an option maybe UW sticks with him if can keep bringing in recruits.

His team is pretty young and the way he lets them play that's going to translate into growing pains just like last year. I think the recruiting class will save him another year but yeah not a good coach.

Looking past Ace acting like Ace i think it's odd ppl leaving out Villanova as a serious option.

Walker did cancel his Syracuse visit though...

It's between UofA and Nova. I heard that the UK visit was to get a free ride to a tournament, but he got sick.

Jason Scheer, who rarely puts all of his chips into the pile, is saying that UofA will land Walker barring some unforeseen circumstance.

Miller building his GOAT class. The frontcourt may be kinda thin next year if the Euros go but the backcourt is stupid deep.

Assuming Walker commits, Simmons stays and Markk, Alkins, and Ristic bolt:

PG: Simmons, PJC, Barcello
SG: Randolph, Smith
SF: Walker, Randolph, Denny (likely to get medical RS)
PF: Lee, Pinder
C: Ayton, Comanche

That's 11 scholarship players. I assume there will be one more surprise committment and one grad transfer. I know Miller won't want to be this short at the 4.

And Ace immediately tweets that Walker will decide on Arizona in the next 48 hours...

I don't know if PGU's Twitter is Ace or some other knucklehead but a guy I talk to offline told me they're now predicting Walker to Miami. I didn't even know Miami was involved I thought it was UA and Nova.

Apparently PGU is saying all 3 schools are very confident they're getting Walker and Miami the one getting the most hype right now.

And people wonder why coaches go grey and lose their hair.

The more people talk, the murkier it gets.

I still think it's Arizona, unless Miami writes him or his dad a check.

It's not like Miller hasn't landed highly-rated kids when nobody expected it. You win some...

Miami is definitely a head scratcher though if he ends up there and I'd expect the full court press to be put on Bowen. I'd take a 2nd year Kobi/Rawle over any of them though.

I love Bowen, he's skinny but tough and has a nice midrange. Don't know a thing about Walker haven't seen him.

You just never know in recruiting, Miami has a good solid program , Larranaga is a terrific coach but nobody seemed to have them a factor at all until today. 247 I guess has them on the list but 0%. I googled it and Miami sites are reporting too that they think if he commits tomorrow it's Miami.I guess they were his first visit but that doesn't normally mean anything in general last visit is better than first.

I get the connection to UA he's from Pennsylvania like Miller and he played in the US juniors so he's been around Miller before, Nova is the home team, no idea what the Miami connection would be.

Well that sucks. Wish the kid well.

Does Bowen play any D?

he's a tough kid.

I found a story on Walker that says Jaquan Newton a Miami guard played AAU ball with Walker so apparently that's the connection. He's expected to announce and sign today now down to UA and Miami so apparently dropped Nova completely.

wow things happen quickly now i get your that sucks comment, he picked Miami

So who's left on the radar? Top guy left seems to be McCoy, who even after all the speculation that he might commit to ORE on his visit, he hasn't and maybe is still waiting until after his upcoming MSU visit. Wings still out there are Diallo (whom looks like he will enter draft after being deemed draft eligible), Bowen and a guy whom is still listed as an interested prospect and seems intriguing to me is Jarred Vanderbilt. The Lamar Odom comps seem legit looking at his highlight clips (mobile, ball handling ability & good passer) looks like a tweener.

Duval is still out there and looks like he still is down to 6 schools but there hasn't been much buzz with him & UA for quite a while and with Barcello in the fold maybe UA isn't looking for another PG.

Vanderbilt would be a bigger get than Walker or Bowen would be but ppl seem to think he's staying in Texas. As long as Alkins or Simmons stick around for another year we could get shut out from here on out in recruiting and be fine... I'm sure Miller will still try to get Diallo to visit.
