Again, got something constructive to add to the conversation, or are you going to continue with this diatribe? If not, bow out.

Like I said... you don’t get to set the terms of the discussion after being an ass about ANYTHING Zona involved.

You can put me in ignore if your now delicate ears wants to talk over tea and crumpets.

I can when you can’t contribute to a conversation. All I ask is for you to be constructive and you haven’t done that yet except for whine. If this is too much for me to ask, then kindly bow out. The ASU fans have contributed more than you. That’s saying a lot.

Lol.

Well...we do. Sorry if we don’t rely on sheer emotion and pessimism to formulate all of our opinions.

My lord... you’re STILL
being an ass after asking tea and crumpets convo. You STILL thinking you know more than we do after being proven DEMONSTRABLY only further proves that Emotion is literally all YOU rely on. Any impartial observer or even a REALISTIC Zona fan like me and Ouchie could see this coming... or at worst weren’t close to dismiss it all as nothing.

And the reason we could do that was because we REMOVED emotion from the issue.

No, you pull them from where the sun never shines. This program should've been hammered when they covered up gun crimes under Lute Olson. It took a LOOONNGGG time, but you self-righteous butthats are finally getting your rears handed to you.

ASU has the second most major NCAA fractions in college sports history. Spare me the holier than thou speech.

Should Miller be on his way out? He should at l;east be suspended pending the investigation. When your own Tucson Hansen writes that he needs to go, that's a pretty stinging rebuke from the hometown media. I'm sure that Hedake Smith was just as much a pain in the ass for ASU.

I've seen it written on this board (maybe even in this thread) that the solution is to pay players. I'd like to know how you determine which players get how much. Is it determined by success? If so, the UA softball team should be getting paid, because they have more national titles (8) than the entire men's side of Title IX (7). Is it revenue produced? So the hoops teams makes money; how do you determine who gets paid how much? Does the guy at the end of the bench make less than the star player?

The chips are going to fall where they may. It's going to get worked out.

There is no use of fans stomping on each other. All I want is fair competition. The ASU-UofA rivalry is something fans should be embrace. Lots of fond memories come from this rivalry.

Sounds like Miller and Ayton could both be active tonight. We need some info.. #unban@97cats

I will take full responsibility if he and Russ get into again. :)

You keep using the word “constructive.” Who says any post on s message board has to be “constructive?” Is this group therapy? Perhaps you mean “substantive?”

Be fair, he came on solely to attack Russ (and apparently me - but that reply was erased before I ever saw it).

Cmon Chap you didn’t see this coming? When one side of a rivalry has been crushing the other and it comes to light that side has 100% been cheating, fans should expect this.
Sure I expect it but it’s not like we are all strangers here. Don’t you notice how awful posters have been towards one another recently. I’m as guilty as anyone.

I do. Unfortunately I think it’s reflective of where we are as a society overall right now. I think everyone is pitted against everyine every day on politics, social media, etc that we all have trigger fingers. I hate that I see it in myself.

One last point, it's a guess but I am assuming the reason Sean Miller , Rick Pitino and Miami's coach are the only 3 to have been directly linked to asking for a player to be paid, is because they are likely the only 3 head coaches the FBI have on wiretap doing so. They didn't just pick Pitino and Miller becaues they don't like them, they picked them because they were on tape doing it. that doesn't mean other coaches don't do it too, I'm sure they do, but I'm skeptical the FBI has a bunch more head coaches on tape doing it, if they did, it would be leaked since clearly that's the stuff that the public wants to hear about.

I doubt Enfield makes it through this. For a while things were looking good for Bland in regards to the cass but that’s over now with the Metu stuff. I’m sure we’ll hear something about Lonnie Walker any day now who spurned Arizona at the last minute.

No, I meant constructive, but substantive works, too. Not going to get into a war of words because that doesn’t further the discussion.

Literally, you only show up here when things are falling apart, like after a loss, and condemn Miller for underperforming. I hope you can see how exhausting that can be for fans who regularly post here and those who pay very close attention to the ins and outs of the program, especially when emotions are raw.

By the way—to quell a notion: I have stated on here that I know first-hand of improprieties surrounding Arizona athletics dating back years, so I don’t have some completely apologetic approach to these circumstances.

Is it confirmed anywhere else that Mark Emmert was speaking about this publicly?

It will be nothing. Arizona will get a 1 or 2 year postseason ban and vacate some wins, that's pretty much it. Miller won't coach at Arizona again but there was a good chance due to family issues that was going to be the case next season regardless. Arizona is still going to win the Pac-12 and DeAndre Ayton will likely be the #1 pick in the draft. Their success going forward will be dependent on who is going to be coaching their team next season like it is at every NCAA program.

People like Ouchie and Cheese at their core just really don't have any depth to the conversations they are engaging in on this board. To their credit they're well-educated and knowledgeable in many areas, but the depth of their knowledge is minimal and this case is exactly that. They are hot take, cap lock, sports talk radio mouth breathers. And when Arizona is off the hook in a couple years and Miller is on an NBA bench if I'm still around maybe I'll remind them of all this.

It's easy this morning and last night to read the headlines and surmise that the world is crumbling but if you actually follow college sports you know that these things always blow very quickly because I have seen countless other programs go through worse and came out as good or better on the other side pretty quickly. It's easy to mock and throw stones but if you really understand college sports you know that everyone is engaging in similar activities. And you also know the entire thing is a sham but for love of university or sport, you watch anyways. What's harder is to connect dots, understand nuance, and have a larger perspective about a subject.

Really it's just pathetic. It's pathetic there is a system in place where an adult has to resort to borderline illegal activities just to get less than 10% of their open market value. It's pathetic Miller can't keep his house in order both at home and in the office (this refers to the Pitts thing as much as the FBI). It's pathetic people are getting dragged through the mud for a player getting paid when those casting the stones almost universally agree the same players should get paid. It's pathetic people can't read an article, do some research, and realize that once you get past the headlines it's likely your favorite team is probably in trouble too.

Just remember as long as Arizona fans pack McKale every night and support the program we will be fine.

Seems that Heeke and Miller are pushing all of their chips into the pile. Doesn’t look smart unless they know something we don’t.
