Or we draft him trade Rosen and get to feel like the Falcons felt when they traded Favre. No I am not saying Rosen is Favre but there is as much a chance of Murray sucking and Rosen being good as any other option. I will hope for the best for the team either way but as a Cardinal fan I am never optimistic of it working out in our favor.
If that’s the case the prediction is pretty clear, we are all pissed and Crimson takes the first stage outta town.

Throwing is the easiest thing for him, scripted, a set amount of passes and to WRs he has been practicing with for a while.

Mayfield had questions last year and he did everything asked of him. Murray should have reached out to him for guidance.

Murray seems determined to only perform in only favorable conditions and settings and when the mood hits him apparently.

I have no issue with not being measured...the 40 bothers me. Don't tell me that your athleticism is the reason we should ignore your lack of size and then refuse to run. Buyer beware especially in year 2 after the league gets film on him.
He was the master of 10 step drops @ Oklahoma. That is on film.

Maybe there's something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about? Because I think any reasonable person would conclude the same as you have regarding running the 40. I don't understand the decision.

He doesn't have to run a 4.3 to prove he's "elite". Wilson ran a 4.55, Manziel a 4.65, and Mayfield a 4.8.

If he could just post a 4.45, that would be "elite" enough, along with his proven QB ability, to justify at least a top five pick.

Previously I felt confident he could run under 4.5. Now, I'm not sure. And, if he really is a 4.65 guy, then no, I don't think we should spend the first pick in the draft on him. My whole proposition for drafting him is that he is at least the athletic equivalent of Wilson, but for some unknown reason, he's unwilling to try to prove this is true.

On it's face, it's impossible to defend.

The Murray hate in here is ridiculous. Yet you could do research on what was said about Mahomes and Watson before the draft and it would be about the same: question marks and hate. Doubters everywhere.

To make it clear: I'm for keeping Rosen and drafting Bosa 1st overall. Or trading down to the highest bidder and pick up more valuable picks.

But! Murray can ball. He is very accurate and has a good arm. His placement, touch and anticipation are great. He can make people miss in space easily. All these facts can't be questioned and therefore it's ridiculous to not talk Murray when we talk the 1st overall pick.

The question isn't his game, not even his size to the degree we think, but the whole character, baseball and leadership stuff would be my only concern. That's what the Cards FO must evaluate.

I don't believe that teams have players run a 40 at private workouts, do they? Maybe positon drills and lots of whiteboard and film time is always the impression I got.

I really don't think Mahomes or Watson had the questions that Murray has. They were both good sized players who were considered throwers first runners second. Mahomes questions were concerning the system. Watson was a question of arm strength if I remember right. Also as far as I remember they both fully participated in the combine and didn't duck any drills at their pro days.

Oh ok well since you say so all of our questions and reservation are all for not. He will be a star guaranteed. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Mahomes and Watson are not sub 5'10" midgets without a personality. The comparison is not even close to the same.

Here’s the thing. It’s not hate for Murray. Many may doubt him and that’s normal. But aside from Murray and Bosa the Cardinals can turn this pick into a plethora of picks. In another thread I came up with a possible scenario where the cardinals could parlay their first pick for ot Taylor, dt Oliver, Wr Brown or Metcalf and a te like Hockenson or fant. Would we be happy with this?

I don't hate Murray. Will root for him if he is drafted. After all, I like Cardinals.

For now, it's gamesmanship between Murray camp and non-Murray camp here. :hacker::hacker::band:

Agree about the running. Still think he should've measured just to dispel the rumors about his inflated height. If you're being weighed, just do the height, even if it's to shut people up.

Put it in perspective: Mayfield did all of the drills at OU's pro day because there were a number of question marks.

Murray's question marks have become red flags at this point. He's hiding something; likely his inability to run fast at 200+ pounds.

It's very surprising that he agreed to step on the weight scale and not have the height measured. If anything, you would think he would be worried that his weight dropped 15-20 pounds from the Combine. Guess he continued the water chugging routine to keep his weight up. Clearly he thinks this will hurt his speed in the 40 yard dash or he would not be afraid to run.

The refusal to measure height is just begging for conspiracy theories, especially after that scout guy told Dan Patrick that the Combine height was likely a fraud and we should watch out to see if he refuses a height measurement at pro day.

I totally get why people are asking even more questions about him not running, but the conspiracy theory about inflated height measurement seems REALLY out there. That implies that he somehow had more control over measurements at the combine... than his own pro-day. If those who buy in to that theory stop to think about that for even a second, how does that make any logical sense?

It doesn't make any sense, from what I gather when they measure height there are a ton of people in the room. How could they possibly lie on that? That would imply a massive conspiracy.

Michael Lombardi was on GMF this am and is a well known well respected member of the NFL community. He stated it will be interesting to see the height measurement because “they rarely match up” I found that particularly odd.... Bit if true obviously there are shenanigans possible in height measurement.

And if no concern why not just get measured?
