My speculation:

Amare is currently in Paris. Why is he not in the US when he is a FA? Tells me he knows exactly where he is going, eg if Aldridge signs with us it is a no-brainer for Amare to come back and everything is in place for that.

The Suns have the ability to clear cap space. The same as for Aldridge.

The Suns received a trade exception for Dragic for 5.5 million. Also Brandon wright left. I believe Gerald Green has a cap hold as well.

they're not going to clear cap space and give up assets for a guy like Ed Davis, especially when they just signed Chandler.

Although the Suns have Leuer, I would feel more comfortable having more PF depth.

Maybe it will be a player like Patric Young who won't cost much.

Aldridge felt first meeting with Lakers was too focused on non-basketball (Hollywood, branding, etc) and Lakers want to rectify it.

I am not worried, Scott has to be the worst coach in the NBA and does not believe in analytics at all.

Plus the Lakers have no center, well maybe Hill and Sacre lol.

why would he want to meet again with an unprepared business partner?
that first meeting alone should be enough for LA to see how the ship is ran.

yeah but apparently LMA is meeting with Pat Riley also in LA.

Before you know it everybody will want a second meeting with him. UGH! Can't say I blame the guy. This is a big deal financially and career wise.
