I assume you didn't mean to say 'the nod goes to Seattle.' - Why go to an almost equally bad team due for massive overhaul and rebuilding?
God, I know it's un-stat-head of me, but I really hope he's not traded. It was very bittersweet at the game today, realizing he might not pitch here again, or Fins play CF.
It almost seems, however, like Randy is finally taking a leadership role:

It's time to step up and start being accountable. This is the Major Leagues now, it's not the minor leagues anymore. "The last couple of games we had ... runs scored for us and the pitchers need to go out there and bear down," Johnson said. "Step up and do your job. I know it's not easy and I'm at fault too, but somehow you've got to find a way because our offense can only score so many runs and then you've got to do your job as well."
Wonder how long it will take for Pedrique to get over the awe and intimidation - he was absolutely thrilled to get the game ball from RJ, and apparently felt he personally should check on Randy after the ninth-inning error-by-committee (which got him furiously booed, all of us thinking he was pulling Randy.) That's OK once or twice, Al - but you are indeed a big-league manager now. Exactly the same game -gotta act like you belong, as all rookies are reminded.
