Maybe 16 and 59 for 14. No more than that. If we're owed a 2nd rounder from anyone they can have that instead of 59, maybe. The right to swap a future 2nd with the Suns wouldn't bother me. It's 2 spots and it's not a lot really. The Clippers have 12 and 13 and they could probably use a PG also so it's difficult to determine what's worth giving up to 14 to possible have our plans fall through because of the Clippers. Work out a 3 way trade. Suns get #12, Clippers get 14, Denver gets 16 and the Clippers get 31 and the Nuggets get the 59 or the option to switch their 2nd round pick with us next season and only next season.
Denver is rumored to be dangling the 14 in effort to get rid of Faried’s contract. It wouldn’t take our 16 to get it. Most likely 31 or a highly protected future first would get it done.

I would do the Denver deal and follow it up with a move up to land Doncic. Send 14, 16, 31, next year’s suns pick and Milwaukee pick.
I would do it in a second but I am not sure if there would be any takers. The NBA is the one league where a dollar is worth more than 4 quarters (and sometimes 5).

Real talk. The Suns aren’t getting another top-3 pick unless Booker is involved.
Not that I would do it but I could see a package of Jackson, Bender & #16 and maybe unprotected 2019 1st rounder doing the trick but IMO that would be a lot to give up for PHX.

The Suns aren't trading for more picks in the draft.

I...can't...let...it...go.

I'm all for trading the 16, 31, 59, the Milwaukee pick, the Miami pick and Chriss or Bender for whatever pick it takes to draft Young or Doncic. And if that's not enough, I'd even be willing to include the right to pick swap with ours in the next draft (without protection). I'd also be willing to swap out TJ for Chriss or Bender if we're taking Doncic.

the last thing this team needs is more young players. You draft Ayton and you package all your assets for an all star caliber player. Your paying Booker that's a given your gonna have Ayton on his rookie contract if Jackson develops like we think he will your gonna need to pay him but him and Ayton are still a few years away.

Jackson is still very raw and has a long way to go. We need to focus on him not bring in yet another kid to develop.

Why would you want a team full of rookies even if it is Ayton and Doncic by the time your ready to contend your going to have to pay everyone and Sarver ain't spending big bucks like that. That makes no sense.

That's just a pipe dream dude your not moving up to 2 without Booker or Josh Jackson. Your not going to trade garbage for a star it doesn't work that way

Hardly. I doubt we can move up to the top 3 that's why I listed Young first. But if for some reason Luka drops to 5th or lower AND our Head Coach really wants him, then who knows.

Doncic could be a good player, he could be a bust, proposing these crazy lopsided Nets/Boston deals though could set the Suns back a decade if he's not the greatest Euro of all time and starts showing it almost immediately. How many picks is that? 3 firsts outright, option to swap 1st's coming off 3 years of being one of the worst teams in the league, a handful of 2nd round picks, as well as all of the players we drafted in the 2016 draft and our starting SF who is signed for the next 5 years on a good contract.

I'm surprised it's gotten to this. Before the lottery drawing most people were barely ok with leaving the draft with Doncic, on his own, but now we're supposed to find a way to keep Booker and Jackson and leave the draft with the top 2 players? One of those players is Doncic. That's insane. It's not going to happen and it shouldn't be considered at that price. And everyone is supposed to be ok watching Sacramento use those picks or trade them over the next couple of years while we struggle to make the playoffs? If that deal was suggested for a proven vet, maybe, but for an unproven Euro who plays the same position as our top 2 players right now?

Keep in mind, I am on the Trae Young bandwagon and have been for several months. I am confident he'll be a big time star in the NBA. And my trade offering is nothing close to the insanity of the Nets/Boston deal.

I still hold no real opinion on Doncic. I want Young but I allowed for the possibility that the people who actually know what Doncic is worth, might choose to pay a premium to get him. And everything I included in those trade suggestions pale in comparison to the value of a true star. I don't know if Luka will be a star but I find the likelihood of him busting to be negligible.

I'm on the fence for selling every pick for Young or Doncic. That's a move you make to take the final step into championship contention (and in that case you sell to get a known commodity). We're the worst team in the league.

Maybe one or both will be stars in 3-5 years and we'll not draft in the top, say, 8, until 2025, but to me it seems like a too much of a risk. Better to keep flexibility in my opinion.

In response to a question about the Suns moving up from #16 Scott Bordow tweets.

They have the assets to move up. Again, most likely in the 8-13 range in my mind. But, if they really like a guy like Aaron Holiday maybe they take him at No. 16 and protect their other assets

I'm high on Trae Young also but you got to draw the line somewhere. Giving up all of our assets for a rookie is not the way to build a winner, IMO. I think Trae will be a great pro but I don't know if that's worth sending away all picks but #1 this year. That would mean #16, the Bucks, and Heat picks in the future. That's a lot for an unproven player. Especially when you start adding pick swaps to the deal.

I'm not sure how much the Suns like Young... and they'd be wise to keep it a secret. If he slides anywhere close to #8, I think they go get him.

Bordow did a Q&A on Twitter today, he said if the Suns grab Ayton at #1 then they'll address their backcourt needs at #16. They plan on addressing a need at each spot and won't grab 2 bigs or 2 guards.

Also answered a few other questions I thought were interesting.
Asked who would be on the opening day roster out of Jared Dudley, Tyson Chandler, Brandon Knight, Troy Daniels, Davon Reed, Shaq Harrison, Tyler Ulis, Alan Williams and he said...

Knight, Chandler, Daniels, and Dudley. Leaving out Reed, Ulis, Harrison, and Williams. I think we knew that already but I think that probably backs up the idea they'll waive Williams to open up more cap space.

Also asked about trade value of Warren, in terms of a draft pick, like a top 10 or top 15 pick and he said the Suns would want more than that.

He still believes Ayton is the pick also.

This was a good one also, asked if it's more likely they stay at 16 to pick a player or trade up or out, he thinks trade.

I'd rather not get Young - IMO adding some significant devensive might in the back court is imperitive, and I'm not even convinced that Young and Booker mesh on offense. Doncic, on the other hand, if our coach and GM are over the moon on him, is a different story. Igor knows him inside and out so I'm not going to go against his wishes.

That's an absolute steal for a possible star. And it's not like our cupboard would be bare. We'd still have all our own picks after this season unless we ended up adding the pick swap I mentioned and even then, we'd have a pick. Assuming Young and Ayton approach their potential, we'd be better off without adding any more kids for the next few years anyway.

Evan Sidery puts out some ideas as well.

I know the Suns want a PG at #16 but Knox would be hard to turn down at this spot.

Also getting Faried and #14 would give the Suns more ammunition to move up in the draft.

I'd trade 16 and Warren for Patrick Beverley in a heart beat.

IMO, Warren has more straight-up value in a trade than Beverley or at least equal value.

Not from everything I hear. I'm hearing people around the league are not high on TJ at all. He's a one dimensional mid range scorer who doesn't provide much defense. That in today's NBA doesn't get you much. Beverley has a much more valued skill set and the Clippers might be looking to start over
