I think we may get something tonight...looks pretty active up on the Rim, and they are holding together...

Anyways, I've been disappointed enough this past week, that if I'm wrong today, it wont matter.

Yeah...one thing I noticed this year from the radar animation, is that you can actually see the dust storm front coming in as a little wave before the story. At least, I've seen it like this twice this year so far.

This photo below...I outlined in black the little wave...if you keep up on the radar, and this does indeed move in, when you get the dust storm, that wave should be over your house...

Anyways, I predict a decent dust storm at least :)

My parents have had several evenings with 2+ inches of rain in Eastern Arizona. Lucky.

By the way, unless the tiny cell that just developed NE of town, i think the big glob to the east will slide by the south and screw me over again.

(Being pessimistic so maybe we'll get lucky)

The mountains between the Rim and the East Valley are just eating the storms up this year. There's just no backbuilding juice this year.

I'm beginning to think our only hope for rain this summer will come at the cost of a Gulf hurricane, and that's not something I look forward to.

I just want to say that I think we're getting a storm tonight...just a gut feeling

(unlike the other 5 gut feelings I've had the last two weeks)

Man, Prescott, Sedona, Flag and the White Mountains getting pounded again... It's been a daily occurence for them for the past week or more!!!
There are some decent boomers forming to the south and to the west of Payson... Can they actually finally make it down here?? :bang:

I think the reason it looks good today is that we have that normal Monsoon flow out of the southeast finally.

So we have storms moving up towards us from there, and hopefully some from Payson/desert lakes.

Right now, a big storm is developing over Roosevelt Lake area.

Yea, there definitely appears to be a converging element to these storms, all moving in from the east and the south! Finally!!!
