Are you really changing the culture for the better by bringing in a domestic violence suspendee… and then rewarding him with a raise after doing Jack and squat last year?
Yeah I don’t understand the re-signing of Jones.

damnsiesRoy Lopez going to Detroit.
Pretty sure that’s a myth when it seems like multiple teams are nearly $100m in cap space every year.Have to hit the minimum cap spend floor
Lot of people here liked him. I guess we are definitely going DT in the draft.Roy Lopez going to Detroit.
If you don't think every team knows who is drafting who I got news for youThe need inside is so strong, every GM will know just who to jump in the draft to make sure they get their DT.
He was a good rotational piece. He was a player playing on a minimum contract making the most of it.Lot of people here liked him. I guess we are definitely going DT in the draft.
Okay. So I guess Lopez is expendable. He was a good rotational piece. He was a player playing on a minimum contract making the most of it.
Sad to see him go, but at the same time definately not irreplaceable.
I'm guessing that Monti didn't want to re-sign a player at the buttom of the roster at this point with free agency going on and a draft heavy on DL.
Pretty sure we still have a few vet DL on the roster. One would hope that Jones plays this year. He was supposed to be starter last year when they got him off the couch. I do believe.Okay. So I guess Lopez is expendable.
We will just draft a rookie and plug him in while hoping Robinson is healthy and steps up.
A player playing on veteran minimum is per definition expendable IMO. Me liking him doesn't make him less expendable.Okay. So I guess Lopez is expendable.

the room is pretty full. I liked Lopez,...but other guys are already under contract and we should have a top rookie that needs that roster spot soon.A player playing on veteran minimum is per definition expendable IMO. Me liking him doesn't make him less expendable.
But the point I was trying to make was that this comes down to counting to 53. How many DL of the 53?
Monti missed out on Williams and Allen, so I assume adding a DT is still the plan. Sweat was signed. Given the draft, I can easily see 2 DL drafted. Take the players already on the roster with BJ coming back. Does Lopez even have a roster spot after that? And even if the spot is there, do we need a Lopez, a Dimukeje or Ben Stille at that 3rd string spot?
But the big takeaway is that he TRIED.Swing and a miss by monti.
That would be about $2 million/game played.![]()
Bills land Joey Bosa
Veteran pass rusher doesn't join forces with his brother, Nick.www.nbcsports.com
We couldn't have used Bosa for $12.6 mil on a 1 year contract?
Strongly indicates the Cards will go DT on day one, though with 3 good ones likely on the board they may move down. I’d stay put and take Grant but if they can go down and pick up another 2 even by adding their picks (even 2026); I’d be okay with that.Roy Lopez going to Detroit.
the reality is that the team has to find out what they have in BJ Ojulari![]()

Same. No issues with Jones and he should be given the opportunity to earn the 3rd/4th WR spot. Now if Pascal is back for year 3, then there's a problem. The 5th/6th spot could be upgraded by the Cards signing just about anyone off the street. The only WR I wanted in free agency was Slayton.
The Cards will probably address the slot WR in the draft.
I don’t have a problem with the Jones re-signing.
I don’t believe losing Lopez is catastrophic by any means. Like you, he seemed to be a player who’s name was called out more than some.A player playing on veteran minimum is per definition expendable IMO. Me liking him doesn't make him less expendable.

Obviously the staff thinks more for the current DLinemen on the roster. Lopez is not going to change the course of the season. He certainly came off as a hardworking lunchpail type of players. I guess the Lions see something in him.Pretty sure we still have a few vet DL on the roster. One would hope that Jones plays this year. Yea the problem with Zay is he's not really a slot guy and not known as a deep speed guy either. And thus far has proven no real chemistry with Kyler or a fit in this offense yet.Amari Cooper, Stefon Diggs, (soon to be) Cooper Kupp, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Elijah Moore, Mecole Hardman, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Brandin Cooks, Tyler Boyd, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyler Lockett, Diontae Johnson (yes really), Van Jefferson, Nelson Agholor, Robert Woods, Jamison Crowder, DJ Chark, Noah Brown.
I agree. Loved what he brought to the table. Would have loved to have him back.I don’t believe losing Lopez is catastrophic by any means. Like you, he seemed to be a player who’s name was called out more than some.
