Not blaming the game on the refs at all. Just making an observation on how one-sided the officiating crew was during this contest.

I would have been better if we lost with a blowout, but these type of games with a inferior team hurts real bad, i just want to throwup.

Forget the officials, it was the ATROCIOUS playcalling when we had the ball to put it away,, Whis doesn't want to win the game, that what it looked like, Kolb won't make to three games if this keeps up, and finally, booo to the Skins and freaking loosing to Rex freakin Grossman.....

With five minutes left and the lead - we run on first down and gain 5. Then we pass - and then we pass again. We kick it back to them with 4:00 on the clock. We ran one minute off. ONE.

That was just freaking horrible playcalling. Oh, and the passes? Not even off playaction, either.

Offensive line is just atrocious, too.

Just win next week and all if forgotten. Needed to get 1 of these 2 games in tough road environments.. we blew a golden opportunity today, so we gotta come out next week and get it done, plus it's a big division game.

It is really frustrating though given that we had 4th down, and we give up a 20 yard TD pass

That's how I felt before this game and it's still true now. But, the devil is in the details and it just sucks we managed to get up 8 points and couldn't hold the lead. And, didn't even get a shot a game winning drive by fumbling on the first play.

That said, if the niners lose today, and we win next week, we'll be okay for winning our division.

Much as Tim Ryan pissed me off, I have to agree that on the drive we started up by 2 points we should have run Beanie out of the 4 receiver sets. The skins knew they could stack the box once the 2 tight ends came in.

Sheesh!!! We go to Washington and as usual have all the calls go against us and still only loose by 1 point. We have played 2 games, one of which we won, and people are already calling for the DC and head coach to be fired. Unbelievable.

giving up a td on 4th and ballgame is a joke. This defense is scary bad and kolb almost never has time to sit in the pocket and throw.

"Stats are for losers!" -- TB coach Raheem Morris.

Gotta dig that.

And it was a winnable game.. we lost by one freakin' point!!!! Gotta stay optimistic -- we haven't played very well in our first two games, but are 1-1, will probably be tied for first at the end of this week, and still have a pretty favorable schedule in the near term.

Beanie looked good when we went to him. Wish we had a smashmouth offensive style like, oh, pittsburgh or something.

I was listening near the end of the 3rd when we had the ball at our own 6 after another penalty (on the return). Beanie broke off an 11 yard run. Dave Pasch said "Stay on your feet, pal!!" about the play. He said Beanie should have broken it for a longer run but he "inexplicably" just dove to the ground untouched. So sick of stuff like that. Saw him do it last week too. Bad feet?

All the game are winnable. All CKW has to do is, after 4 years and 2 games, is figure out how to hold a lead. It was a problem in the Super Bowl, and in '09 but Warner and Boldin and Fitz simply scored so many points in the first half it didn't kill the team, but they still had to have a goal line stand to beat the Texans after being up 21-0 and cost them the titans game . Last year it cost the team two key games. Tampa and Minnesota.

However, to be fair I do think it is extremely difficult to stop any NFL offense from getting in FG range in the 4th with 4 minutes or so left.

Defense is terrible
Pass protection is terrible
Pass rush is terrible

And today, we couldn't stop the run as well...

We lost it in last 4 minutes... went 3 & out, let them score a short FG, and then turned it over. That is why this hurts a lot.

I don't usualyy blame Whiz, or the play calling, but the last "drive" was pitiful. They hadn'y stopped the spread hand off to Wells all game. Why not run it until they do they do? That was disheartening but I don't think this loss is devastating by any measn.

Oh yeah, absolutely - it was a ridiculously tough loss and game we should have won. And we need to play better, especially on defense (duh). But, the schedule is still favorable over the next 3 games and we have a chance to improve in front of the bye and the meat of our schedule. We need to play better than we have for it to matter, but it's not like we are in the situation of like the Kansas City Chiefs or anything over here!!

And BTW - watching the Chargers-Pats game now... Malcolm Floyd over Chansi Stuckey anyone?!

Yeah, the changes at that point were idiotic and just gave the Skins an advantage. :bang:

Whis is not the correct OC, he makes changes for no reason when certain play are working. Wells was running well with the 4 wide set.
