Just got up in sunny England. Got to take my daughter to her swimming lesson. Go to the shop to buy some supplies for tonight and then try not to wet myself with excitement.

Thank god there are two other games on today to keep me slightly distracted or I don't think there would be any of me left by the time the games comes around.

I just cant see who can stop Rooney or any of their midfielders. Who knows? Maybe they'll be inspired and play well.

Last year they handled Torres, Xavi, Fabregas & Villa so anything is possible...maybe not likely but possible.

Three Lions (original) is a better song, but that ain't bad. The James Corden/Dizzie Rascal one isn't great but I can't help humming it!

Just setting everything up for the BBQ later on this afternoon just before the game starts. One American in a room of around 15 Brits... if US win, its going to be great :D

South Korea looked good. They should have scored another 3 or 4. Definite penalty in the first half as well.

South Korea came out organized and really showed off their passing skills in the midfield.

I was happy to root for them. Great job boys!!!

Time to complain a little...
I hate those effing horns. I'd much rather hear crowd noise, singing, chanting, etc. I hope this doesn't carry over to future tournaments, leave that junk in Africa.

Oh and good job having like 10K+ open seats in a World Cup game...are you kidding me? How can you not fill those seats?

Its like have a wasp stuck in your bloody head. nightmare. I guess it works well when there is a small crowd but otherwise you just lose all the crowd noise.

I am sure there were pockets of empty seats in the opening game too.

Arg 1-0 up now (who i hate by the way.....handballs, Falklands, penalties, you name it). Horrible marking by Nigeria though.

Argentina came out like a house on fire.....

I am ok with the horns.... They are definately not as pronounced in the Argentine game. I hear the drums and chants, etc....

They are getting loud for this Nigeria free kick... That is how it should be IMO.

Cant hear the Vuvuzuelas because there is a ton of argentinian fans present. I believe Argentinians also have the largest hispanic population in SA, so its very much like a home game there.

Man, Nigerias gotten all the chances, they just haven't been able to finish. Nigeria-South Korea is going to be a great game for the 2nd spot.

You could hear them.... they just didn't dominate the rest of the volume. Drums, Chants, etc... were all audible. Only when the Nigerians were on a set piece was it deafening.

Honestly, that keeper for Nigeria might have just saved them from a goal differential standpoint.... He was on fire.

Messi looks like he brought his entire arsenal to the table for this world cup. That was a great opening performance for him.

Tevez.... He looked timid and unsure of himself today.
