I was super pissed that about that throw in the end Zone but anyone bitching about Kevin Kolb and calls themselves a Cardinals fan is a damned fool. Eli Manning just threw an amazingly stupid INT in end zone just now. You benching him too?

KOLB LED THE GAME TYING TD DRIVE. HE IS 7-2 TD/INT and quarterbacking a 4-0 TEAM. WAKE THE F UP.

Wow. Any of us at UOP today can talk that smack, but Duckjake talking "you missed this barn-burner" smack?

When was the last Duckjake appearance at UOP ?? :D

Just about a year after the economy went in the tank. :(

Unlike some of you I don't live 45 minutes from UOP and it's really tough to catch a ride there from Northwest Austin. :p

From Sando...

Kevin Kolb completed all five pass attempts for 115 yards and two touchdowns on play-action passes during the Cardinals' 24-21 victory, according to ESPN Stats & Information. That suggests play-action can work without a strong ground game. Arizona carried only 15 times for 28 yards Sunday.

When you consider he only got one drive in the first game he's had 6 TD passes in his first 3 starts. Not going to do that all season but he's on a pace for 30 TD passes.

Considering we can't run the ball and our tackles are not very good I think he has to get SOME credit for that?

Also the OC is scheming up some plays in the redzone to get TD's in the air knowing we can't run.

The tying 15-yard scoring pass Kolb threw to Roberts late in regulation came on a play the pair couldn't quite complete in practice Friday. According to Kolb, the two agreed that Kolb would put the ball in the same spot if the play came up during the game. The post-corner route requires the receiver to take three hard steps to the post and freeze the defender with his eyes before making a hard cut. Kolb: "To be able to stick it and then go straight back this way, there are a handful of people in the world that can probably do it."
Nice props to Dre.

He has done a really good job staying in the pocket when its there and running out when absolutely have to. Good things happen when you follow fundamentals.

dude was almost a MAJOR goat, but it took stones to come back from that horrific pick and lead the team back with a killer fourth down, frozen rope touchdown.

he's the starter until he sucks... and sucks for at least a couple games. anyone debating that can't really be taken seriously.

I just think that if you put a legit OL in front of the guy he could actually probbaly be pretty damn good. JMO.

This. I don't think anyone has a problem with Kolb, but the recriminations against posters who just recognized that he was horrible last year don't make a ton of sense.

Good win with bad Kolb. Kolb made the case that he should continue to start, but failed to make the case that he should have a $9 million salary and $14 million cap charge in 2013.

So we're basically where we were last week.

And LOLs at people who were comparing this performance to one of Warner's. This was a vintage Jake Plummer performance, up to and including the dumb INT in the two minute drill at the end of the half.

I certainly have bashed Kolb and with damn good reason. That said I am thrilled he has started turning it around. Coming back today was huge in my opinion.

Co-sign.

I saw enough in this game to know we can win with Kolb as our QB, and also enough to know that I will be spending a first rounder next on a QB.

He is tougher than I thought, and he showed a ton in bringing the team back from his errors, but he still really struggles with some very basic functions of the QB position. His pocket presence is poor and his ability to progress through his reads is also poor. The pick in the end zone was a basic high school call (one read, throw it away) and he flubbed it.

Again, I give Kolb props for pulling it out, but I don't really feel this was a ringing endorsement for him as a franchise QB.

I don't think you are able to accurately assess how good or bad he does with going through reads when he essentially has time to make two reads at the most before he has a defender hanging off his jersey. If it's not Massie getting taken to task, it's Batiste. Even if he does struggle with making reads, passing for 64% completion and having a 7-2 TD:INT ratio isn't half bad with all things considered.

His pocket presence was lacking today, but overall for the season, he is undoubtedly better than you give him credit for. He isn't sensing pressure that doesn't exist anymore like he did in preseason and breaking containment. In addition, he is not taking anymore ill-timed intentional grounding penalties.

I'll hold off judgement about where our first rounder will go until the end of the season, but if it were to end today, I'd address the offensive line.

Yeah, they are playing their hearts out and I know it's still both their 1st years in the league and starting. That's a huge assignment - especially on a team that likes them to work on their own for the better parts of games.

I was very impressed with him today. No running game, poor offensive line play and questionable playcalling and he stepped up and did what he had to do. I loved what he had to say on the postgame show basically saying that "Fitz got shoved and I threw the ball where I was supposed to but I take responsibility for the mistake of forcing it and trying to make a play where there was none"

He made a fan out of me today
