Did nobody else see #24 just flat out push Fitz out of the the way on the INT in the end zone.

Fox was all over it, but even still, Kolb has to throw that at KidStallyn in the stands instead of force it into Fitz.

What?
Won't you guys ever learn? You almost cost us the game with all those posts talking about how great Batiste and Massie were doing.

Up 14-13 2nd down on opponents 1 yard line with 7 minutes left in the game and we have to come from behind to win? Our offense sucks eggs. Kolb was better than Skelton because he didn't throw interceptions and he's throwing picks so he's no longer better. If the D doesn't get the ball back twice at the end of the game we're 3-1.

:stick:

There's always if's my man, always if's. Like if it was a typical Cardinal team we would have been the ones winning only to lose it in the end. I like this team, they're resourceful and fight hard and it's paying off.

Kolb looked dead calm all day today, I mean steely calm. That's a good sign.

Kolb. didn't. quit.

You cannot buy that in an athlete.

Athletes make mistakes in every game. That's just the way it is. But Kolb has proven he doesn't quit. The first time was when he came in when Skelton went down. People were booing him and he went out and did it.

I think he's got fire in his blood. And I'll be the first one to say I didn't see it for a long time.

Kolb is the guy who can bring this team back. Saying his isn't is denying what he's done. Which is go out there and perform when everyone in the stadium was saying, "Well, that's it." He told us, "No. It's not."

Ah, it's just the same as the people who wouldn't give Skelton any credit when he brought the team from behind last season. This team is just different. They refuse to lose. With Skelton or Kolb at QB. At this point I'm beginning to think we could find a way to win with Lindley at QB. Two key turnovers after the 3 minute mark. Picking up a first down after two consecutive sacks! A TD pass after 3 straight in completions!
Outstanding work.

Too bad none of the Cards players were on the US Ryder Cup Team.

So every major broadcast company called it? Man, I miss those replacement refs. They'd have called that a simultaneous catch and give Fitz the TD

EDIT: we're both wrong. It was CBS

What?
Not true. The Cards scored to go ahead 14-13 just minutes after I posted my Duckjake jinx post, about the Cards offense being worse than horrendous, in the game thread. Before that they were going nowhere. :p

Forgot about the DUckjake reverse mojo. lol

dude

-WE had 68 total yards in the first half - The endzone pick from the 3 and 1 point lead with 8 minutes to go. I appreciate the heroics but get a grip-
He he had 4 wonderful completions that ended in an INT- add on points for the fins brfore the half.

I don't blame him- RWILL is not ready for primetime and neither is Mike Miller. We have confidence that we can overcome our own stupidty and I am grateful for that and the 4-0!

I hope we turn the corner and begin to look like a playoff team with a playoff record- championship confidence instead of a dolphin spanking a football.

I'm not negative - We have the Rams in 4 days- a rookie QB put up record numbers and we pased every down to wear out the Dophins pass rush. hoping for a completion 1 out of 4 downs.

We played the worse game of this season - and won - woo hoo - now lets support and be real, The Rams beat Seattle and every divisional game is important.

Let us win this without a need for heroics - without manufacturing our own tragedy. I will take any ugly win - this team has earned solid wins -
I would not plan a heart attack every week. But that is just me.

I don't ever want to hear him slammed again after the adversity he overcame today & has since preseason!!!

The dude has earned my respect & hopefully everyone else's on this board as the QB of the Arizona freaking "4-0" Cardinals :D:D:D

IMO #4 today played like the QB we traded for & paid big $$$ to lead this team to hopefully a SuperBowl title. Stop the QB controversy, the Skelton talk because IMO it's over.

Way to go Big Red :newcards::newcards::newcards::newcards::newcards::newcards::newcards:

I know it's irrelevant and people won't care .. and maybe this has been posted... but:

Kolb was asked about that INT in the endzone and said when he threw the ball, Sean Smith had pushed Fitz out of the play. When Kolb threw it, he figured there was enough room to at least make it a jump ball type of deal (or just fight for body positioning there on the side -- who wouldn't trust Fitz in that situation?). Obviously after he released the pass, the push was made and Kolb realized how awful the throw was gonna be. Still, he said it was an awful throw. It happens.

I hated the throw, but his explanation of it at least made some sense of what he saw there to even think about forcing it.

People just beg him to throw stuff up to Fitz all the time..makes sense. Just need more air under it too.

I'm, gettin a Kolb jersey.

Any of those out there for sale?

You Kolb haters....got a XXL you wanna get rid of?

Trade you for an autographed Jake Plummer that he actually wore in a game.
I got the Reebok one, but it's staying here. The new Nikie ones are nice too, might get me a black one.

Is that for this thread or because you missed this barnburner to go to a Wedding?

A bit of both.

not sure what people are expecting from Kolb. He's not Warner 2.0, but Warner 1.0 effed up plenty of games.

Sounds like Blok stunk it up at times, but brought us back for a hellacious victory. And I thank him for that! He's been nails so far this season--nowhere near perfect, but getting the wins and not caring about his form in doing so. He's this season's Skelton :D Good on him for coming right, and I hope he keeps doing so. No reason to start up the thread for 'rubbing it in' mode, but I won't let it get to me. We're 4-0, and a few games we should win before us. Good times.

Calling him this seasons Skelton does him no justice. Skelton wishes he have a comp% like this and a YPA like this etc.... Outside of two throws he was nails all day long. With zero protection 9 sacks and zero running game.

For the most part especially with the breakdown in the OL... but the two ints were really bad especially the one in the end zone.

Yep definite push.

but apparently I'm the only one who noticed on the Lane TD run the guy at the end of the Left side of their line jumped? I had some herky jerky video on my DIrectonline feed today but it sure looked to me the guy was moving forward before the snap. Not sure if was the LT Long or if there was a TE outside of him but I said false start immediately and I think even one of the Cards was pointing at it during the play.

he struggled today. A LOT. But still kept his composure and got the W. Somehow this guy went from legitimately not deserving to start going into week 1, toa poised QB that makes plays and doesn't fall apart when he has a bad game. This is what leaders do
Agree... something changed in him. I guess the benching brought something out.
