Heh, get used to it. Rockies used to be great at filling stadiums until they lost all the bandwagoners.
lol yeah I remember when they used to sell out Mile High Stadium... They originally planned for the capacity of Coors to be under 50k but since they were getting so many people they made it I think it's something like 53,000 or something not sure exactly but I know they expanded it. I doubt they sell out again until the Yankees series. I guess we're probably the same as are most MLB teams. The Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers, Red Sox, Angels, and Cardinals are the only teams that consistantly sell out in MLB I think.

Taveras was out, but the Umpires and the Rockies announcers were like "Well I don't know" CoJack had him tagged 5 inches before he got back to first.
:stupid: Our announcers were "He was OUT." Dammit. Then he steals 2nd...

Just turned the game on; haven't noticed yet.
Well the annoying thing I'm talking about is only on MLB.TV on the computer. If you are on FSN Arizona you will have regular commercials and won't be driven insane by this bouncing ball noise.

phxchris, you got the annoying thing I'm talking about?

No, not quite yet. But I'm sure I will see it before this game ends.

It appears to be cold there that could be why they are so empty. I know they don't draw much on normal nights (probably about 23,000 a night) but there is literally like 15,000 there.

I kinda like games where there are a lot of empty seats. You can get out and move around some if you want or just spread out and have a lot of room to stretch out and what not. I don't like to be all jammed up in a sold out crowd unless it's a big big game.

Hard to say, but I remember watching the July games from Phoenix back when the Dbacks played in Denver and the stands were nearly empty then too.

What is attendance like for home games? I'd say it's probably 25,000 per game maybe?

I remember it being pretty full when I went but it was in the first season. The Reds draw pretty poorly, last year we went to see them play the Cardinals in August in the middle of the pennant race and they had to offer half price tickets and $1 hot dogs and STILL didn't sell out. It's a has-been baseball town.
