Camelback High School Spartan, Class of 1987.

Played with a few NFLers (though few you'd have heard of, unless you were a high school football freak) - Kevin Minifield (detroit and chicago), Warren Wheat (rams, colts), also played against philippi sparks, kevin scott and nathan laduke for a few years.

hulk hogan also graduated from CBHS.

Scarsdale (NY) HS Red Raiders.

Factoid - Near the northern border of NJ, there are two high neighboring schools who are arch rivals: (1) Ho-Ho-Kus and (2) Mah Wah.

Based solely on their locomotive cheers alone, Mah Wah must have wailed on Ho-Ho-Ho-Ho-Ho Ho-Kus.

The conjectured imagery cracks me up - (The Ho-Ho Kus mascot in his cute little Santa Claus outfit and the Mah Wah dude dragging his knuckles on the ground).

Nah - no mafia for us. He moved on, pioneered the Bloom Trail to Kankakee, and settled in that area (where my dad's side of the family still lives).

He also found time to be one of the first Justice of the Peaces for Will County, back when Illinois was still a territory.

Brophy Prep -- 83

School of Mark Alarie -- '82 (played on Duke's 86 final four team, Nuggets No. 1 draft choice)

The Alarie/Brad Lohous battles were epic --

Did you know a guy named Bill Allsworth? He graduated from CBHS in 1987 as well - frat brother of mine.

I graduated from Farmington Hills Harrison in '95, who for nearly the past 30 years has consistently had one of the best HS football teams in the state of Michigan.... However, the only ones to make it into the NFL are John Miller, Mill "The Thrill" Coleman, and Nick Williams..... John Herrington has been the football coach there since the beginning and is highly regarded in Michigan...

GO HAWKS!!!!!

Ahhh Yakima! I spent many a lovely, frostbite-inducing night at the nearby Yakima Firing Center while proudly serving in the 9th Infantry Division. What fond memories I have of your lovely little metropolis. :)

East Valley "High" out on old Williams Field AFB for '97

I don't think Highland has been around long enough to have a claim to fame, at least none that I know of. We were the VERY first freshman class when it opened.

Anquan Boldin Regional High School (They have and need no nickname).

Undefeated in all 1,653 games played since they opened their doors.

As a matter of policy (and overwhelming modesty) they routinely ask their graduating seniors to pencil in the name of a different HS on their biographical write-ups. A buddy of mine did some digging, and it turns out that every player active in the NFL actually hailed from AB Regional High (with the exception of one).

We will protect that one player's privacy by withholding his name -except to say that he apparently is a rookie wide receiver who attended a major college in the Nittany Valley of Pennsylvania.
