and ZERO (did i read that right, ZERO???) rebounds for lopez in 20 friggin minutes???? anyone still want to make the argument that he's a rebounding/shot blocking big man? the dude wasn't a rebounder in college and he's still not. blown draft pick. shocking.

Its a pretty bad team right now. Playing so ugly, it is unbearable to watch at times. There is no reason Amare should be getting double digit rebounds. He has the physical tools. It is a matter of desire and will.

in hindsight, I think we missed out on Batum when we took Lopez. Anyway i agree that amare needs to focus on the not flashy parts of the game (rebounding, defense) before people will really recognize him as one of the league's greats. 4 rebounds against the hornets is pathetic, especially when guys like Peja are beating you to the ball.


Also, why is dragic still getting minutes? i think it's pretty clear that singletary is the better player

And 5 against Dallas ... But Shaq wasn't much better either. We can't really complain about it on a particular player because the whole team is doing horrible right now... Hope they figure it out together soon.

Huh? Because Singletary is invisible on the court he is the better player? Dragic may not have the confidence or experience of Singletary right now, but he is a much better NBA point guard prospect than Singletary.

disagree. Dragic looked like total trash against dallas. When he tries to be aggressive, he just misses the shots he takes. At least singletary doesn't do any harm when he's out there. Dragic has been doing more harm than good, IMO.

based on what criteria? the deer in the headlights look on his face everytime he takes the court? the lack of offense he generates? his poor defense? his lack of athleticism? or maybe his already being 22 with years experience overseas with pro leagues leading me to the belief that he has limited upside (he's certainly no teenager with miles of upside)? he is not an nba caliber player, much less the "star" that our "brain" (and i use that term as lightly as humanly possible) trust touted him to be.

i don't know if you mean me or not. But if so, i don't think i exaggerated singletary at all. I know he isn't the next paul or anything. i just think he is better than Dragic and should play more. The worst that could happen by playing him more is we find out we don't have a good backup point guard, which puts us right where we started. i think he's at least not looked sheepish like Dragic when on the floor. Dragic's first instinct is "pass to someone else and shy away from getting open and possibly getting the ball back". Singletary at least shoots it without a lot of hesitation.


BTW, George Hill (Spurs first rounder from last year) looks like a pretty good player. It's been a quietly efficient rookie campaign for him. The spurs have a pretty good scouting staff with finding ginobili late and parker late (i believe he was a later pick), and now this Hill kid looks to be decent as well

How about this. Banks looked better as a rookie than Singletary and Dragic.

I don't care if they get minutes, the Suns are horrible. Let 'em play, but neither guy looks like they are going to be very good players.
