This is the quote you are refering to: "There now is a chance that Johnson and his agent will consider filing a grievance against the Cardinals"

There is not even an inference that Johnson's agent said this, or as you say, "has johnson's agent talking of filing a grievance."

Pissing on the parade is fun , huh? We should have named you Chicken little rather than Ouchie the Clown.

oh man, i'm not trying to piss on any parade. i'm happy pace is signed. and i think any mention of a grievance is at least an inference that the agent is thinking of it, you think len just made that up outta thin air? where would his credibility be?

ALL I KNOW IS........

For the most part, the draftees salaries are slotted and it was a given there would not be alot of bargaining. Johnson recieved an offer commensurate with his draft position and he felt he should be paid more. I'm sure Johnson and his agent had little concern for Pace and what would be left for his signing. Rather than risk 2 protracted hold-outs the Cards' finished a deal with Pace. What's the problem? I don't see how this is a blackeye for Graves or the Cardinals.

Did I insult there. No - you're right I am perceiving it negatively - you are perceiving everything positively - I never said any different did I? People will believe what they want to believe - of course that applies to me also.

If they are slotted - than how can both picks be offered the same amount of money as was indicated in the article? I mean if the 17th pick was being offered the same amount of money that the 18th pick was - then his deal would not be commensurate with his draft slot - it would be commensurate with the slot behind him.

Also - this isn't a black-eye for the organization yet. It all depends on how fast and when BJ gets signed.

Maybe the Cards' should fire Rod Graves and let you handle contract negotiations. READ- Johnson was a holdout and would not sign a contract. An offer was on the table. Pace signed a contract, he's on board. Would you give Johnson anything he wants? No matter how ridiculous? Maybe Johnson should bite the bullet.

He mentioned it because he felt it was possible. Nowhere in the article does it state he got that idea from the agent. It can be assumed that the agent is thinking of it, however Pasquerrelli didn't even go as far as to assume, all he wrote was that there was a CHANCE the agent will CONSIDER filing a grievance.

Pasquerreli has credibility to worry about? Someone should let him know that.

Right - one of the better sports writers in America should be looking over his shoulder right now - Nidan's probably coming to get him as we speak.:D

Where did i attack you? Because I called you chicken little? Who is taking what personally?

I attacked your comments. Lenny never stated that the agent was talking about filing a grievance, you did. That fact that you read was Lenny wrote and thought it stated that the agent said he was filing a grievance shows your glass is half full mentality.

You didn't insult there, but you have been insulting, especially with your recent crusade against Nidan.

I think it's a relatively logical assumption to make on the situation on first read - hell even on second read. Time will tell how this all plays out - Jesus, that's been said a lot this off-season.

The fact that he is one of the more well known (I won't agree with better) sports writers in America is exactly why he doesn't have to worry about looking over his shoulder.

Come on King of Cards - Nidan and I rib each other all the time - he's a whack job and so am I - Personally - who else have I been insulting ona regular basis - is it the people who tell me I'm not a fan - or that I should go find another team to cheer for - or is it the people who intimate that I'm a drug user or that my brother somehow is spoiled? I vehemently disagree with opinions, but never do I insult one;s intelligence - sanity - maybe - but never anything else.

If you read the article CAREFULLY-it says both players were offered contracts of roughly 4.4 MIL. It didn't say Johnson EXACTLY 4.4 MIL and Pace EXACTLY 4.4MIL. Translation Johnson $4, 449, 000 and Pace $4, 351, 000. Both roughly 4.4 MIL but none the less different amoutns and slotted.

Only because of who wrote it, since he is one of the "better" sports writers in America and everything he writes should be considered gospel . Especially since he has no need for sources and intends to mislead the reader. Which obviously worked on you and your brother during your first and, hell even on your second read.

uh -wouldn't that be a glass is half-empty mentality? I can tell you - for me - with Suns, D-Backs and Devils I'm a glass is half-full - or even more - but THIS YEAR - with THESE CARDS - I wouldn't say I'm a glass is half-empty mentality - non, no, no, that would imply I think there's anything in the glass at all.:D

Does that make me a bad fan? To you probably. To me - anything good that happens, will just be a nice suprise.

Jesus - man - who says it's gospel. To me - I like Lenny's articles as he usually is in line with my thinking on the NFL. Sorry you don't feel the same - this whole thing really bugs you, huh?

Alright. Long day, Mondays suck. I drove home happy and then read through a hour's worth of posts, 1/2 of which were negative. I feel were due to Pasquerelli throwing an unfair assumption out to stir things up. Well it worked and of course he maybe right. My only point is we have no idea.

I still don't think Lenny talked to the agent, and hopefully the agent, player, Graves gag order is still in affect. If not we will know this is gonna get ugly.

Sorry, I pinpointed you and your brother, but you make yourselves such readily available targets.
