It's hilarious that since I came on here and said that Anquan Boldin isn't one of the Top 5 WRs in the NFL, I'm apparently a hater. If you think that Anquan is "only" a top 10 or 15 WR, you're a hater.
Two things:

1. If you weren't as abrasive as you are and seem to work very hard to be, it probably wouldn't be such a big deal.

2. You didn't just say he's "not top-5." You said he's just a good possession receiver. And, anytime you can you point out how he's supposedly failed the team or his fans.

Just heard it on ESPN radio.

Suspended for the year and must put in for reinstatement when the year is up.

Good for the NFL.
Good .. about time they put their foot down ... they need to do everything they can to discourage this kind of behavior ...

Adam Jones is very fortunate that he is not getting charged along with the shooter in the Vegas incident .. there are states that have laws that if you are with someone that you know has a weapon and there is a confrontation and the weapon is used in an assault like attempted murder, attempted manslaughter or attempted armed robbery you can be charged as an accessory to the crime ...

Since he assaulted the girl dancer inside the club he could be considered the instigator which started the chain of events ...

I agree. They should stick his butt in jail for attempted murder, fine him up the yahoo and see to it that the guy who is crippled for life gets as much of that money as he needs.

One year is not enough. This clown should be exiled from the league. Someone needs to be the sacrificial goat to show that this sort of behavior will not be tolerated

Maybe the NFL is trying to both protect and help Pac Man Jones by doing this in light of the Darrent Williams murder last year? He was merely at a nightclub chilling and having fun with his girl and some friends and was a victim of a drive by. Maybe it simply isn't about the color of his skin or the "lifestyle" he leads? Maybe the league realizes how easy it is for other people to "hate" successful well paid people who happen to be football players and for them to have to pay for that with their life be it by accident or intentionally? Maybe the league wants to put their foot down and send a message? Jones just happened to be the one that has to pay the price.

Kerouac, you're giving fat white guys a bad name.... please just quit. I have no idea what any sort of point you are trying to prove but you look like a total jackass trying to define something you obviously have no clue about.

What are you trying to say? Im white and im a Hip Hop Artist. Just becuase you are white dosent mean you dont know hip hop. Just by the four names in hip-hop he mentioned he gets credibility from me. Gee from what ive seen in other topics boards knows his hip-hop as well. Hip-Hop is not a color thing, hip-hop is meant to bring together all kinds of people.

For you people who watch MTV and listen to the radio and think you know hip-hop i suggest you dont talk about hip-hop. Know the culture and the history and the underground scene before you spew things that are idiotic.

Stop trying to be all PC. Everybody knows that hip-hop is predominately a "black thing" just as much as country music is predominately a "white thing". It is what it is. Different strokes for different folks. Kerouac trying to draw a linear comparison between Pacman and hip-hop and his behavior is ridiculous.

Pacman is still a punk, and his behavior has nothing to do with "hip-hoppity-hop-hop-scotch" or being black.

He's just an a-hole and he got what he's had coming to him for a long time now.

Predominately black huh? Do research, the people who make up the majority of Hip-Hop record sales are white males between the ages of 15-30. There are more white people in hip hop then you even know. One of the hottest producers in the game right now, Scott Storch, is a white dude. Eminem, Apathy, Atomsphere, Swollen Members. In real hip-hop more than half the breakers and taggers i know are white. BTW "hip-hoppity-hop-hop-scotch"? I guess some people perfer that "devil satanic hell on earth kind of music."

Pac-Man is contract worker and his employers have every right to reprimand him as they see fit. When he decided to not tell the league and the team about a few incidents, he pretty much dug his own grave since he broke the CBA. This was a fair punishment. 10 incidents in two years is too much. This is the first of this type of we've ever seen in league and I'm glad they're sending a message that they aren't going to tolerate this.

K9, this isn't nazi David Stern and the NBA we're talking about, but the NFL - a league actually ran with some sense. Pac-Boy should be glad he's not in the NBA because Stern would've ousted him from the league three incidents ago.

K9-- I wonder how you feel about Alberto Gonzales? He hasn't done anything illegal. Should he be fired?

What about OJ Simpson? Whitey tried like Hell to get him convicted, but he was found not guilty.

Geez, I'm waiting to hear, "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit (sp?).

Black, white, brown, purple, orange.. who cares. It is exactly this kind of behavior that I try to protect my family from. And no matter where you go, it's there. And I for one am tired of it. Send the punk to prison. Take all his cash and give it to hurricane relief or battered women's shelters, or food banks.

And this isn't an opinion based on the fact that this puke is an NFL player, black or white... it is an opinion that I'm sick of where society has gone in letting people get away with what we all know is unacceptable behavior. The only problem is that the 95% of the public who aren't involved in this type of activity are afraid to confront these thugs.

I have to go back to work or I'd continue this ....

K9. You're wrong.

The most disapointing thing about this to me is that if it were regular joes like us, no one would care and would just shrug and say "he got what he deserved". Instead because Adam Jones gets people throwing race cards to defend him, saying it's just his lifestyle and that the contract, that he no doubt had lawyers explaining to him, shouldn't be enforceable.

I personally don't care what his skin color is, I don't care if he listens to rap or hip-hop (some of it isn't half bad), what disturbs me is that he's had 10 run ins with the law and people seem willing to sweep it under the rug. Those Bengal players combined had 9...and they should get a hell of a suspension to.

And since when do we defend men who beat women? What the heck is wrong with this picture people?
