Expect more of this. Other players will run their mouths. Many of them have already mentally cleaned out their lockers. Heads will roll. And it will go on and on until it doesn't.

All we can do is watch the circus from afar and hope the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train coming from the other direction.

Sometimes a team will get lucky, the right moves will be made and the ship, will right itself sooner than later. But equally as often (if not moreso) mistakes will continue to be made, decisions will be less than surefooted and the team will remain stuck in the muddy slime.

All the rhetoric and bogus prognostications are useless. We'll just have to sit and suffer. Right now, it sucks to be a Cardinal fan.

Darnell is like "I do my damn job man, that Whiz aint doing his but he comes after me to the tune of 200 Gs."

It also sounds as if Adub has been told possibly by somebody that his time with the Cards is done in 3 games also. I can already picture I big time rebuild & that might not be a good thing.

Darnell was a guy who was all about Whis after getting his contract extension 2 years ago. If Whis has lost Darnell, he's lost the entire defense, and maybe the lockerroom.

This last game was what "quit" looks like. I'd forgotten after the Green Era.

Yeah, I was hoping to not have to go back to that. I have always thought Whis would get one more year specifically because I couldn't see something like this happening. Now, who knows.

Here's to David Shaw I guess.

They just straight up quit on D. They quit on Whiz and the offense actually but they folded camp early. Code Red became a really popular phrase in the game thread. :D

Can a defense quit on it's head coach without quitting on it's actual coordinator in the process?

Speaking of quitting and Denny Green. The Cards completely quit for the next 3 weeks after the 2006 Chicago loss ending with an embarrassing showing vs Dallas in the new stadium. Then they turn it around and win 4 of their last 7 including a sweep of the Division beating SF, Seattle and STL.

It's a reasonable attempt at being clever but that makes no real sense to me. I can't think of a single creative thing that Whiz could do that would make a difference in his immediate future.

What kind of pisses me off is it's one thing to quit on your coach however they have also quit on themselves. I guess personal pride doesn't exist anymore.

Perhaps. Sounds like one of those "lose the battle, win the war" situations.

What a shame. ADub is a Cardinal through and through. Another talented guy this coaching staff will run out of town. I'm sure the Whisendone apologists will label ADub as old and washed up and Dockett as old and a locker room cancer. If there are two guys who need to be on this team for their "intangibles" and "moxie" it's ADub and Dockett, not the John Skelton, Ryan Lindley's and Max Hall's of the world. Whisendone has set this team back a decade...at least.

Agree that ADub and Docket have been the heart and soul of the defense. They are both about winning and have never been locker room problems. They should be treated by the organization with respect.

The coach loses the team when they do stupid things.

It goes all the way back to the Matt fiasco, they should of played him and let him fail on his own or do well either way, instead the coach played captain my way or the highway and karma has now come full circle on his ass.

Good coaches go stupid all the time with the power thing it's a major hangup for most, the 49ers coach just went stupid and fixed what wasn't broken at bizzare time to fix it, we'll see if it's a move of genius or a whiz like move of disaster.

You can't play with people like that at any level and really garner the respect you need to do your job, there's a better way to handle that stuff with a little more human respect than Whiz shows IMO.

Their paycheck shows them respect and that's all they care about.

Instead of worrying about the coach, quitting, respect, or other things, go out and do your job, and earn your money.
