Now tell us the Cap impact. I thought he already had an $11M Cap figure, so even if it goes up $3 or $4M, we should still have money to bring in TO and others. My question is,"Will the team hold off signing anyone, until after the first game, so that the money isn't guaranteed?"

Hearing that in first five, six years of deal, Fitz will be making more than anyone NFL not named Brady, Manning. It's close with big ben

We won't know the full details for a few days but we should still have caproom to sign players (ie backup rb) if we want to

Sure but can we really believe those guys? Most of them have ties to the front office and Larry's group is probably just telling us what we want to hear. I'm going to remain skeptical about this for at least 8 more years.

Steve

Steve love ya man, that was some funny #$@# :D

47 mill guaranteed, It cripples any further moves, Kolb better be the answer at QB.

I am happy and Fitz will be the top paid WR years into this deal. Will he be worth t at 36, probably.

I expected 4 years 50 million, 40 guaranteed , this a better deal cause the price will go up a lot the last 4 years and Larry will be 32.

congrats Fitz! and the Cardinal.

You didn't know that Mike called Shane and asked for permission to give him this present on his Birthday? ;)

No, I don't think so. Fitz already counted 14mill against the cap and the average of this deal is 15mil per season. It's all in how they are going to apply the guaranteed money.

Is anybody else glad that Michael B. did the presser with Larry instead of Whiz or Graves? I am thrilled, especially about that. I would not be surprised if Michael simply took the reigns in hand today and said let's get this done now. That would be a big pick-me-up from the sad news about the loss of Ryan Williams. It also strikes me as maybe Michael has put a new face to this franchise, and it is not Graves, not Whiz, and not any particular player, but Michael himself. I am all for that. Go Michael and Go Cards !!!!!

I called 6 years 100 million...and where is Mitch??? This is the best signing and news ever as a Cardinal fan. Really. This is right behind the Super Bowl. Fitz is such a good role model and a great football player. He will likely retire a Cardinal now. Absolutely awesome news. And an A+++++++++++++++ off season and FO period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree. I think Michael B. has been wanting to make moves and take the reigns of this franchise for a while.

Am happy to see it happening.

The guy is just a good dude, to his teammates, his coaches, and other players around the NFL. They guy lets other players stay at his house, he lets other players use his personal coaches he is paying for during the offseason. He is an ambassador for the Cardinals the likes we haven't seen before.

Could not let him leave or not retire a Cardinal.

Kudos to the team for putting in the work to get Fitz to even go to the table this offseason then not letting him leave the table once he got there.

Nice little video of OUR Larry Fitz ...

1. have/love seeing the Super Bowl catch.
2. think there are even better highlights out there than these
3. interesting that a lot of the highlights come from playing the Eagles

And Mitch??? where the hell are you guys? :D

Mitch is doing some research to see how we can now trade Fitz for the entire Packers Defense. :D

Seriously though I expect a fairly large line at the all you can eat Crow buffet. I'm at the point that an aww gee I guess I was wrong post doesn't cut it. But first let's just celebrate one of the finer days in Cards history.

pretty much

Its like a ham and Egg breakfast, The chickens involved but the pig is committed!

were looking at nearly 28 million a year, 68 million guaranteed the next 5 years on Kolb and Fitz.

Just less than 25% of the salary cap on 2 players, FITZ is proven and Kolb could outplay his contract.

It is a great thing, AW, DD is now our money on D, everybody else will go elsewhere or play for less.

Fitz now has GM powers cause He will have to restructure, like he was willing to do for Kurt and Q, to make a big move.

there is nobody I trust more with that power.

AW wasn't even mentioned this week? Fitz is now right up there with him as lifelong Cardinals, with their eye on the ring of honor.

Watching the Titans-Rams game and they are all over this news. Titans are freaking that Chris Johnson's demands just went up with this news. They are telling players on the sidelines this news and they are laughing.

Love the Cards getting all of this attention.
