What play do you think the Cards will call for the official start of the Matt Leinart era
He already had his first play last week no?
this week I figure short pass to Fitz or Boldin.
Step will grab hold of Ryan Sims and sling him into Leinarts knee. Ending his season. But the good news is he completes a fifty yard bomb to Fitz. After the game Step starts crying and says his heart isnt in the game anymore.
Last week doesn't count this the OFFICIAL start for him.
I tell you what I'd like to see is a fake to Edge bootleg left and give Matt a run or pass option. Get him involved right away, take a hit(not a big one), get the nervous stuff out of the way immediately.
Just a note: Ryan sims lost his starting job and is now in the rotation.
I was about to laugh for the Chiefs taking a bust.....but then I realize we took Wendell Bryant.
To bad draft picks, my friend.
Very. BUt neither were as bad as when we drafted Jr Siavi. And he was cut in the preseason. THank god.
Oh and as far as the first offensive Card play goes.....I say its a pass to the guys in the Red and WHite.
With the Arrowhead on the helmets.
Everyone in the stadium will expect the rookie to hand the ball off early and often. So take advantage of that, have Leinart fake the handoff to James and throw it as far as he can to Bryant Johnson on a 9 route. If BJ makes the catch, the entire stadium will explode, and the Chiefs will be back on their heels at the outset.
Even an incompletion will give the KC defensive backs something to think about. And it would only be 2nd-and-10, or about the same result as if the Cards had run the ball.

If there's a coushin for Fitz or Fitz it'll be a quick 1 yard pass out to the flank that'll go for 5 or 6.
Flea Flicker just like the first play of the season in 2004. Hand off to James, flip back and a deep bomb (53 yards) to Fitzgerald. 2nd play- a nice bootleg on the next play to Leonard Pope for another nice gainer inside the 10 yard line. Finish off one of the quickest drives in Cards history with a fade in the corner to Fitzgerald (touchdown!!!!)
