Not even true at this point. The vast majority of players playing right now will not even be on the practice squad.
In plain English: good GMs draft well and add adequate back ups for depth. Cardinals drafting and depth are sorely lacking at many positions for the past few years. A good GM needs to walk the talk.

I’m talking depth chart to depth chart equivalent for both teams. Their 2-4 depth guys were better than ours.
