Aesop = wrote fables
Aristotle = student of Plato and Socrates, Scientist and philosopher

Let me help you out -

Aristotle - Philosopher rooted in the idea of Formal Logic. First Philosopher to write the first rules of formal logic

Aesop - Told fables, as in your lying- was "wolf in sheeps clothing" link not explicit enough? Not to mention his lessons at the end of his stories which you seem to like to do with your posts.

Beating the Lakers didn't get us anywhere, we just got kicked out of the second round again like we did the season before. I am just stating facts, if that offends you, then that should tell you something. The truth hurts, I know, it hurts me too, but I am not one of those fans who is just going to go around saying the Suns are the best team in the world, when we clearly have a long way to go to get to the top. Just a realist. Just being logical and Honest. Truth Hurts. Sorry, but those are the facts.

At this point discussions are moot. Its time to lace em up and play this thing out on the hardwood. Bottom line is the Spurs have what we both want and im not gonna be so quick to dismiss them as favorites to win it all again. I do believe however that this next run will be San Antone's last, seeing as they are much older than some of the up and coming teams (eg Lakers, Jazz, Rockets, Mavs). I purposely left the Suns off of that list simply because they are one of the older teams in contention (Nash 34, Shaq 36, Hill 35, Bell 31).

I do think this Shaq trade was made in response to what the Lakers did with the Gasol move. And while i personally feel the trade was not a brilliant move it is a huge gamble that must pay immediate dividends, else there will be a long re-building process to get back into contention once again. Kerr made a gamble for now or not for a long-- a very very small window.

Theres some anxious moments and hoping goin on in Phoenix.

Sounds like getting called out by both sets of fans has made you a little defensive. Good try but if you think i looked up who those people were before I used them in the context to make fun of you - you are kidding yourself. Its too bad everyone had to break it down for you re-e-a-l s-l-ooo-w over 6 different times.

They were pretty apt, eh?

By the way mods - is this guy just the least bit transparent? Even the Laker fans like trophytown are more sensible about discussing the Suns chances...

You just know he probably kept interrupting the professor with all these smug little questions about The Matrix on Descartes day, too. :p

"So what you're saying, professor, is that Neo is real, because the Matrix is not a trixter, per se?" :bang:

edit: Also, when I think of philosophy condensed into reductive sound bites, nobody does it better than this guy. Maybe Lakers fans actually believe every "rah rah team" statement the self-described Zen Master comes up with? Either that or there's just something in the water! :)

You really are pathetic, what are you a 6th grader? Who was archimedes or gauss, what did they do? I guess you can google as well. How about what was gauss contribution to the rescuing of the apollo 13 mission(long after he was dead) einstein? Lets see you look that one up on google.

I already called this a Laker loss a few days ago.

They may surprise me, but I doubt it. As I mention in that post, I have no worries about Gasol guarding Shaq.

However, matching up with Amare without Bynum on the floor is going to kill us. Amare will go nuts. Odom on him? Ronny? Vlad? LOL. He is going to go ballistic.

Throw in the Lakers on the ass end of the back to back, and the game in Phoenix and we are looking at a split this season.

Funny, Ronny guards Amare fairly well actually, not sure what you're babbling about.

Second, Gasol will also be guarding Amare since I highly doubt D'antoni is going to play Shaq heavy minutes. And if he did, I will guarantee you that Shaq would be in all kinds of foul trouble.

Hill getting posted up by Odom should be fun to watch though. And I'm sure Kobe won't be motivated to win this game at all either.

I know what I'm "babbling" about. You need to relax.

Gasol and Amare is not a good matchup either...Amare is the exact kind of player that Gasol has problems with...fast, athletic forwards.

Amare is going to be the difference in this game...if he plays well, Suns win. If not, game is up in the air.

Y es, wasn't it so generous of Kobe to grace us with his presence for 3 minutes the other day, after being threatened with fines if he didn't show up, because the league knew that he was just pretending that his injury was more severe than it was? Gosh, what a lil trooper that Kobe is, to go out and pway even when he din wanna! " :( "

You're hate is hilarious. Kobe wanted to cede his spot to someone else, but Stern would not let him. If Kobe were to skip the all-star game he would have been SUSPENDED against the Atlanta game. Use your brain.

Citing minor injuries as major ones to avoid playing in the All-Star game is nothing new (Tracy McGrady has done it at least a couple of times)--it's just that Kobe got called on his malingering, and was still forced to play. Notice how that didn't stop him from putting a hilariously oversized wrap on his hand after playing, to try to maintain the premise of being really hurt. That bandage was so big, it looked like Bryant was trying to win a hand whiplash case or something: "Yes, your honor--that's the man who struck my pinky finger with his car!" *court attendees gasp*

Again, your attempts to spin this as a negative is hilariously pathetic. Kobe has a TORN LIGAMENT and fracture in his pinky on his shooting hand. Thats is a legit injury that will require surgery. Use those critical thinking skills you were taught in the first grade. Oh and you have heard of ICE, right? You know, the element that reduces SWELLING. Yeah, Kobe's fingre is swollen so he wrapped ICE around his hand. What an attention *****

Let's hope so! I want this to be the most hyped game ever, because the more pressure and second-guessing Shaq is subjected to, the better he performs.

Ah, Shaq bamboozled you as well? By the time his career his over, Phoenix will have more animosity towards Shaq than Laker/Orlando fans had. Enjoy The Big Decline.

Not really. Gasol's a bad matchup against stronger, bigger forward types that like to establish position deep on the block. Amare has never been a big banger and rarely boxes out. Gasol is agile enough to stay with him, especially if Amare starts playing a more perimeter oriented game with his transition to the 4.

This is likely.

Your both wrong. There is no reason. Shaq was brought in here to help. If it doesn't work out the animosity will be towards Kerr, Sarver and D'Antoni. This difference in the Suns situation is everybody knows this is a gamble. Everybody knows about the health and age issues.

We know what we are getting into when Shaq was brought here. If it doesn't work out the Suns fans will view this as a failed trade like so many before. There will be no extra animosity towards Shaq IMO.

Have you ever watched Gasol play against Amare? In the past Amare has eaten him alive. Besides the Suns are still going to the pick and roll with Amare and he will continue to play around the basket. Amare is not going to become a jump shooter. Let's see soft Gasol try and keep Amare away from the bucket.
