Beating the Lakers didn't get us anywhere, we just got kicked out of the second round again like we did the season before. I am just stating facts, if that offends you, then that should tell you something. The truth hurts, I know, it hurts me too, but I am not one of those fans who is just going to go around saying the Suns are the best team in the world, when we clearly have a long way to go to get to the top. Just a realist. Just being logical and Honest. Truth Hurts. Sorry, but those are the facts.

At this point discussions are moot. Its time to lace em up and play this thing out on the hardwood. Bottom line is the Spurs have what we both want and im not gonna be so quick to dismiss them as favorites to win it all again. I do believe however that this next run will be San Antone's last, seeing as they are much older than some of the up and coming teams (eg Lakers, Jazz, Rockets, Mavs). I purposely left the Suns off of that list simply because they are one of the older teams in contention (Nash 34, Shaq 36, Hill 35, Bell 31).

I do think this Shaq trade was made in response to what the Lakers did with the Gasol move. And while i personally feel the trade was not a brilliant move it is a huge gamble that must pay immediate dividends, else there will be a long re-building process to get back into contention once again. Kerr made a gamble for now or not for a long-- a very very small window.

Theres some anxious moments and hoping goin on in Phoenix.

I already called this a Laker loss a few days ago.

They may surprise me, but I doubt it. As I mention in that post, I have no worries about Gasol guarding Shaq.

However, matching up with Amare without Bynum on the floor is going to kill us. Amare will go nuts. Odom on him? Ronny? Vlad? LOL. He is going to go ballistic.

Throw in the Lakers on the ass end of the back to back, and the game in Phoenix and we are looking at a split this season.

Funny, Ronny guards Amare fairly well actually, not sure what you're babbling about.

Second, Gasol will also be guarding Amare since I highly doubt D'antoni is going to play Shaq heavy minutes. And if he did, I will guarantee you that Shaq would be in all kinds of foul trouble.

Hill getting posted up by Odom should be fun to watch though. And I'm sure Kobe won't be motivated to win this game at all either.

Not really. Gasol's a bad matchup against stronger, bigger forward types that like to establish position deep on the block. Amare has never been a big banger and rarely boxes out. Gasol is agile enough to stay with him, especially if Amare starts playing a more perimeter oriented game with his transition to the 4.

Your both wrong. There is no reason. Shaq was brought in here to help. If it doesn't work out the animosity will be towards Kerr, Sarver and D'Antoni. This difference in the Suns situation is everybody knows this is a gamble. Everybody knows about the health and age issues.

We know what we are getting into when Shaq was brought here. If it doesn't work out the Suns fans will view this as a failed trade like so many before. There will be no extra animosity towards Shaq IMO.

Have you ever watched Gasol play against Amare? In the past Amare has eaten him alive. Besides the Suns are still going to the pick and roll with Amare and he will continue to play around the basket. Amare is not going to become a jump shooter. Let's see soft Gasol try and keep Amare away from the bucket.
