If the Arizona Cardinals win the SuperBowl QB Kurt Warner will earn upwards of $4 million in bonuses - effectively doubling his salary.

Baltimore Raven's rookie QB Joe Flacco's peformance has already added to his base salary of around $300,000. Flacco can more than double his 2009 base of $1.54 million if he gets the Ravens into the SB.

Philadelphia Eagle Donovan McNabb & Pittsburgh Steeler Ben Roethlisberger do not have playoff incentives but they have contracts worth around $100 million so who cares.

Also, Bloomburg reports the following:

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner may earn as much as $4 million in bonuses, doubling his base salary, if he leads his team to its first Super Bowl championship, according to a person with access to his contract.

So, FTA:
$1.5M from the regular season bonuses. Already earned.
$1.5M for making the NFC championship. Already earned.
$500K for winning the NFC championship. Already earned.
$500K for winning the Super Bowl. Possible.

So he's got $3.5M in bonuses already with a possibility of $500K more.

The total of all the clauses is 4 mill. but the most he can make is 3 mill. They gave him a lot of ways to get bonuses but they capped the total he could make at 3 mill. He has already reached it and cant make any more then that.

What Joeshmo said...

He had 8 or 10 incentives in his contract, each with 500k. There is a 3 million cap and he's already earned more than 6 incentives. He gets no more money, just a ring, if he wins... and the love and adoration of all Cardinals fans for generations.

I mean, we still praise Plummer for one playoff win, I'm sure Warner would get his share for 1 Superbowl. :)
