For Googs and 2 first round picks!!!!!!!!!!!!

:barf:

I hope they aren't stupid enough to trade picks just to save some money this season.

This better not be true.

Well i think we all knew we would have to give them something for taking googs. At least if it does happen, we are not losing a first round pick

How are we not losing a first round pick when they actually give away 2?

I can't believe this, just stupid.

Those picks would have been much better used in different trades or getting Charlotte to take Eisley.

I can't believe it.

Of course, this is RealGM, and I don't remember a trade that was reported first by them that actually was true. Or accurate.

Are we sure of this, I can't believe it! This only helps Jerry right? Because he'll be off the books at the end of the season? This doesn't sound like a trade for the fans....

I looked at their report. The deal is absurd.

Now if there was a supposedly separate deal that sent Eisley for Lopez that included the two picks, then I'd do it.

But picks to save luxury tax? They'd be better off just selling the fanchise rather than subject themselves to the abuse they would receive.

It better be the heavily protected New York pick through 2010 and Cavs forever protected pick.

Still these picks should have been used to unload White and Eisley if anything not an expiring contract.

Now if we use that trade exception to trade Marion for Pierce or McGrady or something...

Hear hear!

George O'Brien, I knew we'd agree on something yet!

Let's hope the rumors are bogus or incomplete. As stated, the deal would be a tragedy.

But the even greater tragedy would if, a couple of months later, this board started trying to rationalize how it was in fact a really promising plan. That would be really too much.

the suns cant trade 2 first round picks. the suns picks are off the blocks because of the barbosa trade. because the pick isnt in a set year, all picks before they are picked cant not be traded. i guess we could trade clevelands and new yorks but if it is the suns pick it cant be done at all.

ESPN Bottom line also reported that trade.

:barf:

This better not be the only trade. Unless they can pull off some kind of miracle now and unload White and Eisley without those picks before the offseason Colangelo should be replaced.

Colangelo is cheap that's what this would tell me.

I don't see any possible way to rationalize this, though. The Suns would be getting absolutely nothing besides cash, and less than $10 million of that by all accounts.

Like the rest of you, I can only hope that these reports are bogus.

They are being reported as future picks, and we get Ben Handolgten. Hopefully one of them is New York's future pick. The other, well...who knows.

That is what Marc Stein is reporting.

What about the supposed rule that players on the IR can't be traded? Aren't Clark and Handlogten both on the IR?

No way those picks are other picks than the future New York and future Cavs pick.

New Yorks pick is protected through 2010 I believe and can't be higher than 20-24 I think.
Cavs pick is lottery protected forever.

Still I don't see how this is worth it, especially since Colangelo said before that he values first round picks after the New York trade.

Bottom line, we still haven't improved our position this offseason.

Lampe was also on the IR when he was traded I think.
