I would never pay for the opportunity to have to play or sing such stupid crappy songs over and over and over.

It's a great party game. Really. When you come to AZ, You'll have to play it.

high tides is too damn long

What's the worst about that song........... is that I get about 85% through. 6 and a half minutes before I fail. Ugh.

Well, I think this game is going to do a number on me. Green Grass and High Tides on Expert is the only song that I can't beat on expert. The solo is too long and hard.

Having the same problem on drums buddy. I feel for ya. GG&HT is an endurance test.

That one took me about 4 times to beat on Medium. I plan on going back to the drums after I finish with that song.

Here's the funny part on another song - for Run for the Hills, my brother couldn't beat it on hard, but turned it to expert, and breezed his way right through it. Some of the songs are like that - it's easier to play them per the song than with some breaks inserted.

I finished Guitar on medium, then decided that I could either spend my time learing guitar on hard, or go pick up a real guitar.

So I did, and started messing around with the real thing. I stick to drums on RB now.

I have a trick (you may already do it) for drums on marathon like songs. Don't use your overdrive during that ridiculous section towards the end. That way you get a little break during the fill time. Just keep counting and pick up after the fill. It's not much but I found I can get through it that way.

LV, your comment about picking up the real guitar is exactly how I felt. That way I can have calluses and hand cramps! I much prefer drums and singing now and leave the guitars/bass for visitors.

Yeah, the fast part is a basic rock rhythm (or so I'm told) with the occasional "Hey, you awake?" bass drum note thrown in. I just kept the sequence the same - high hat on all four, bass on the 1 & 3, snare on the 2&4.

There hasn't been much in the way of DLC that I have wanted in a while. I did end up buying some crap for Linder and the kids though.

I'm feeling the same way. The last DL for us was Weezer and Pixies. The Mrs is a huge Pixies fan from "the day" and the Weez is amazing IMO. But I haven't seen anything good since. :(

I am curious about the Testament track, I dug them back in the '80's.

The version of Working Man just released two weeks or so ago is brilliant.

I'm really not a fan of that particular Rush song...

And now for something completely different:

I'm going to shell out that $400 for the ION Audio drum set - it's too cool, and I love the fact you can plug in a drum brain and it becomes a usable MIDI drum set.

Should be available in mid September.
