I played through Easy, Medium and started Hard. I got frustrated though. So I went back to easy to make sure I got 5 stars on every song. I will do the same with Medium, then probably go back to Hard. I don't think I am every going EXPERT unless I take up doing SPEED.

I'm starting to feel the same way about expert, but I won't go back to medium.

I am sure once I run through the rest of easy and medium (targeting 5 starts), i will feel better about Hard. Don't know about expert at this point...for now.

I will probably break out the drums and the Mic when I get frustrated. Either that or break open R6 Las Vegas. Fragging terrorists for an occasional break works wonders for me. :D

Can I be the manager of a rock band?

The game has a built in manager.

It looks like your services are not needed.

That is, unless you want the bass guitar.

That built in manager ain't got the juice I got, baby. Have you played MSG yet? I can have you there tomorrow. Every kid in every town in america will be wearing crox with sox. You'll have your own special line of crox. Crox Sox Rox energy drinks, the works.

Just sign on the dotted line. In blood, preferably.

I finally played this game the other day. Almost fell asleep behind the drums. Sorry y'all, the real thing is way better.

I'm happy to offer drum lessons to anyone here who wants to play the real thing. You buy the kit, I'll show you how to play, then you can determine if I'm being a snob!

:p

If it makes you feel any better, I've played so many of those songs on my own in bar bands for years, so trying to match every single note was driving me crazy. It's much easier as a competitor if you've never played or played very little before learning that stuff.

Agreed. IM a music junkie and trying to play my favorite songs was tough. The stuff was in my head and it didnt equate well with what they wee teling me to play/hit. That being said, I played for the first time ever last night, drunk as piss at 4 in the morning at a friends work space in Tribeca. We spent the entire night trying to get strippers to come back and play with us, but surprisingly, they werent interested. I dont get it! Anyhow. I had a blast, and tore up Go with the Flow by QOTSA. Played most of the night on easy/medium, tried hard on a couple songs and got embarrased. great game.

I've been playing Rock band for about a week and I have heard horror stories about the guitar breaking. Personally I don't like the guitar that came with the game, I just use the one I got from Guitar Hero. It seems to work better for me anyway. If you visit the tech support forums at http://www.rockband.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=20m, you will see some of the issues with the hardware. You can always try to fix the guitar yourself if your brave enough (Strum fix).

I guess people have also had problems with the drum kit, especially with the drum pedal breaking in half. Here is some video http://youtube.com/watch?v=8EUlSsyOgDc

Now I am scared to pound on the drum pads and pedal.

I finally broke out the MIC and the MIC broke out on me. It broke after playing with it for a couple hours. Just stopped working. Had to use my XBOX Live headset to do vocals.

My Rockband kit came with a manufacturing date of October so I am guessing I have one of the Guitars that will break. However, I have had no problems as of yet.

In terms of the drums, they are fun. I have pounded the crap out of mine with no issues whatsoever. So we shall see.

In the mean time, I have to call to get my Mic replaced.

PS. Some of you guys post your gamer tags so I can look for em when I am online.

I called yesterday to get my mic replaced. Was on hold for about 25 minutes. However, they are just sending me a new one. They said that they don't need the old one back.

So no muss no fuss I guess when it comes to replacing the mics. I just don't know how long it will take to get here.

Did you try the drums on expert? I've heard they are challenging that way.

To a drummer, anything under the highest challenge ranking possible would probably be boring.
