Omicron is so virulent that contract tracing couldn’t keep up.Nobody wants to look at that. Contact tracing pretty much doesn't exist anymore. The numbers are far too massive.

What if some of these teams being in so much hot water with covid is because they aren't as vaccinated as they thought they were. We can't be naive to think that Antonio Brown and that one other guy on Tampa Bay were the only two players with fake vaccine cards.
This makes a bit of sense for football games since most of the stadiums are outdoors and with the size of them. Outdoor transmission is rarer than indoor because the virus has more room to dissipate and is fragile to UV light.Another point on this, somebody else above mentioned fans in the stands at the games, where teams who are playing or having covid issues... It is a little odd that we aren't hearing of any covid tracing of positive cases, being traced back to sporting events. At least I haven't heard of anything. I would think that would make huge headlines, if it were the case.
We don't even know if the current NFL surge is Omicron I don't think they're testing for which variant yet.
Article in the NYT today says researchers say immunities from prior Covid infections, including Delta, offer very little protection against Omicron.
At the very least the NFL should be testing every team right now completely, all the players and personnel. And then the ones who test positive they should find out which variant so they know how big the problem is.
It's definitely Omicron. The NFL is like 98% fully vaxxed. You only get this rate of breakthrough infections with Omicron.
At this point we have to really question the 98% fully vaxxed stat. That and we need to also be tracking which vaccine they got and if any boosters have been dosed, yet. It's definitely Omicron. The NFL is like 98% fully vaxxed. You only get this rate of breakthrough infections with Omicron.
Interesting!
94.6% of NFL is vaccinated.
Which again is why apparently the NFL is now seriously concerned that what Antonio Brown did, was done by multiple NFL players, the fake vaccine card
Because they are having a hard time believing so many vaccinated guys are getting sick.
Exactly. He (and Chandler Jones btw) should have been suspended at least a game.Oh giycha
The message the NFL sent with doing literally nothing to Rodgers said everything about what the league really cares about.
Interesting!

It's completely different though. The EPL teams only have 25 player rosters. You have to put out like 20 of them for a game (11 players and 9 subs). So even if you lose 6 players you can't do that.
NFL teams have 68 available players (53 + 15) plus a bunch of instantly signable street free agents that soccer simply doesn't have.
Pretty sure the reason that I read was that he was deceitful to the NFL about his vaccination status. I may have to find an article.why? did Chandler lie about his vax status and then parade around maskless as well? if so, then agreed. i just hadn't heard that re: Jones.

Cause it never happened.oh weird. i never heard anything about that.
Cause it never happened.
PFT talked to the league. They know 80% are fully vaccinated because they were done by the teams. The other 20% or 18% may be or may not be. They verified all of Bucs cards but not the other 31 teams.
I expct murray name posted anytime.... lol ugh covid sucks majorlyanyone else just coming back to this thread, dreading seeing more names pop up on the covid list?
Again they have no idea how vaccinated they are they are apparently investigating if others, how many did the same thing Antonio Brown did. 3 days ago the CDC said Omicron is 3% of the current cases. it's doubling every 2-4 days so it's 6% now.

If that's what the CDC is saying then they're wrong. Omicron is absolutely everywhere, it's the entire reason for this surge across every league. Think of what it's doing in the general population.
The NFL says 94.6 so if 80% is verified that means 15% is not. That's what 5-6 players per team of the 31 that may or may not actually be vaccinated?
That's actually less than I expected if you consider like 100 players tested positive this week alone.
