Anybody giving up the "information" at this time of the off season (right before the FA clock hits 12) is suspect of having their own agenda involved. Like Flavor Flav says, don't believe the hype.

With the legal tampering period you have plenty of unofficial agreements happening. Doesn't mean that every rumor will end up being true but there's more substance to what we are hearing now then what we were hearing two weeks ago.

I suspect the Ravens and the Agents involved, I think the Ravens want to lock down Monroe with as little hassle as possible.

Hearing QB Carson Palmer has been lobbying for Jared Veldheer to join the #Cardinals has 24 starts with Palmer (2011-2012). #NFLFAMarch11

Why would the raiders pay more for a crappier Lamb player? Why wouldn't the Chiefs see the value in Voldermorth? Why would KC overpay Albert if the JV squad is younger, cheaper, and has a bigger upside?

I think Albert is better than JV, and I think I read some where JV had biscep issues or something last year so he isn't bullet proof. They way his head has grown along with his body there is a small part of me that screams Barry Bonds! :D

I'll be happy with Monroe, Albert, or JV to tell you the truth, but in that order.

Why would the chiefs draft Eric Fisher is Brandon Albert is so good? I don't know if Albert had ever played a full season he's pretty much a one year wonder at this point.

The raiders are going to have to overpay everyone they sign. There in a bad situation and that money goes alot longer in Arizona than it does in norther California.

I think we dodged a huge bullet with not signing Albert

Nobody has said we haven't drafted yet like that, like it's already in the past. We could very well end up signing Albert or Monroe or JV. This "information" only helps the Ravens. It takes all the attention away from Monroe, who isn't in the bag by a long shot. Even the Raiders are smart enough to sign the better player (JV OVER LAMBSKIN), and I bet they will try and match all offers sent JV's way unless it's crazy money and we don't pay crazy money.... maybe for Albert.

I see this info benefiting the Ravens, and JV, and Albert. JV can play the Dansby roll that Karlos did a while back, and this is coming after missing part of the season?

DD (I second that Darnell) wants Albert, Palmer wants Jared (that does hold some weight), AND THE RAVENS REALLY WANT MONROE...this is all I know.

This smoke is black and blue and purple, and it's coming from the land Scarface calls Balteemore. All they have there is the same articles the Raiders are pushing, that they are close. I could be wrong though.

You ever think Veldheer just doesn't want to be a Raider?

I think we are still going for Albert, Monroe, and JV if we know what's good for us. Throw your hat into every damn ring, see how they play out. Our best signings last year in free agency didn't come right when free agency started. I realize LT is a different type of market, but it aint crunch time yet.

Nah, you don't pay more for a less talented guy who's main position isn't even tackle that doesn't even know your system, not even the raiders bruh.

You do if that's your only option don't forget we did it for years when this place was an NFL wasteland.

No I think he is making a smart financial decision. That's what testing the waters while in your prime age does. He will follow the big money no matter where it is, this will be the biggest contract of his life and there won't be a bigger one homie. I think the Raiders will end up offering the most for JV.

Exactly ! Palmer could have taken a paycut and stayed in Oakland ( probably for more than he gets now ) but he wanted out !
Palmer is, was, and will always be well taken care of. He was past that need when he made that choice. This will be JV's biggest yield ever, he won't trip on the address. He's just raking up the offers, and seeing which pile is biggest.

I dunno Dawg....Veldheer is still young enough that he can sign a five year deal now,...and still score yet another fat payday on his next contract....

also, like all of us who have ever played organized sports,...I am sure he dreams of winning a Championship, and would prefer to be with a team that gives him a legit shot at that....he does not have that shot in Oakland,....but he does however get that opportunity with the Arizona Cardinals...

I just don't see him taking less pay to go somewhere at this point in his career, but who's to say. And who knows, the Cards could be the one's who end up offering the most when all is said and done, I don't know how this all will pan out or who will sign where. I'm just saying neither do these information holders in Ravenland. ;) I think it's a bunch of hooplah aside from the Palmer pushing for his boy part. With the recent injury history I don't even know why is so sought after if you aint in the Raider org.

Story builds legs and folks add their own, but I could be wrong, I usually am. :D

The Raiders have the reason to pay him the most, I bet he still fishes but ends up back in Oaktown.

I would play for this Cardinals team instead of the Raiduhs for less, unless they just dwarfed the Cards offer! Wouldn't you? That team is going nowhere anytime soon.
