Here's a look at the market for offensive tackles as the framework of potential deals becomes clear, thanks to information from sources:

Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Branden Albert is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins for an average of $9.5 million annually.

St. Louis Rams offensive tackle Rodger Saffold is expected to sign with the Oakland Raiders for roughly $8 million per year, but he is still in talks with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Jared Veldheer is expected to sign with the Arizona Cardinals for between $7 million and $7.5 million.

This guy played with Palmer in Oakland , and I doubt they would go after him without Palmers recomendation.

I'll just be excited that they will have a for sure LT in the signing of Veldheer. Not only that, but he's young enough to keep learning. Very excited about the idea of getting this guy in Cardinal red.

Yes!!!!!!! F*ck yes!!!!!!!!!

Love it. Monroe was never leaving Baltimore a d Albert is pretty much a one year wonder who had never played a full season. Veldheer is much younger and his upside is sky high.

Saffold tells Rams he's going elsewhere. Story to come.

Looks like things are indeed lining up for this.

Uhhh....ummmmm...errrrr...well actually it's a half million per game, unless you are saying he's only going to play half the games...

He is a Rams fan and had not seen him play more than 8 games in awhile.

So if the Cardinals sign Veldheer does that mean starting left side did not play in a game the 2013 season?

Polian has him as the number 1 FA OT and number 15 overall with a B+ grade.

Veldheer missed the first 12 games of the 2013 season with a triceps injury, but when he returned, he played at a high level. He is an LT that a team can build around. He has a massive frame, is light on his feet for a big man and has outstanding strength that allows him to win most battles at the line of scrimmage. Veldheer has enough athleticism to mirror the defender in pass protection, and he is a perfect fit in a power running game.

Anybody giving up the "information" at this time of the off season (right before the FA clock hits 12) is suspect of having their own agenda involved. Like Flavor Flav says, don't believe the hype.

This makes a lot of sense. Palmer knows more than anyone how good he is and he is young still. Like it.

Veldheer was my first choice of the LTs but then it appeared he was going to stay with the Raiders. I hope he is the guy. Jared is athletic, played with Palmer and young... and will get better :)

I doubt is just for 7-7.5 mil.
In many sites is ranked above albert so i dont see the reason why he should ask 2 mil. less

Why would the raiders pay more for a crappier Lamb player? Why wouldn't the Chiefs see the value in Voldermorth? Why would KC overpay Albert if the JV squad is younger, cheaper, and has a bigger upside?

I think Albert is better than JV, and I think I read some where JV had biscep issues or something last year so he isn't bullet proof. They way his head has grown along with his body there is a small part of me that screams Barry Bonds! :D

I'll be happy with Monroe, Albert, or JV to tell you the truth, but in that order.
